Do you notice the 08 bag smells quite different?

I received my new day bag from 08 collection, not sure am i too sensitive, i found the leather and the smell are quite different. The smell is more strong than the pervious collection...

My EB not so strong Bal leather smell, my Black Work smells devine. I just got a Bouton MU and it smells like modeling clay/paint!!

I can't compare as I only have have Chevre leather Bbags.

My GSH Coral Work has a very "chemically" almost smell to it that is slowly fading. My Coral first didn't smell that way at all. I did smell the same type of scent on the Yellow first but not as strong. It's not just you!!

My Verm 08 City smells like *chemical* too & it has been sitting in my wardrobe emitting the smell throughout my entire wardrobe. My VT, BG, EB, Sahara did not smell the same way when I got them NEW.

well my 08 Turquoise.. the leather is not as soft of my other bag..

and in terms of smell.. it smells like a very strong fake leather smell.. i dont know why... or sort of like chemical smell.

God I've got a really bad nose. I can't smell anything different from the 08 bags I have/had - Pale Magenta City, Sahara Coin, Sahara Work. But I genuinely think it's my sniffer that's not working well

My EB and SB cities and CR Day smell great, like rich leather. However, MY CR GSH smells weird, like fake leather.

You know... now that you mention it- I got a Black City GGH and I noticed right away that it smelled exactly like the interior of a new BMW. The exact same leather smell, which to me is a very "unique" smell. I like it though! I just thought it was maybe a different leather, because it seems much thicker than my other bags, and it's quite heavy (the hardware is most of that). I like it.

My other '08 bags were fine, it's just the Coral and the Yellow that smelled funny to me. So, maybe your nose isn't so bad

My Coral work was verrrry strong smelling. It wasn't nice new car leather smell it was chemical very offensive smelling. I think it burned my nose hairs when I first smelled it.

LMB do those little scented balls that you could put in your bags, for all of you that are experiencing the bad smell, maybe it is worth a shot? I haven't noticed any smell of 08 bbags but i guess the ones on display will lose that smell pretty quick due to it being aired out in the shop, I don't own any yet. I hope the fall ones dont smell, i am planning on getting about 5 and iffy smells give me headaches and make me sick!

I had another finding today.... the ending of the tassel used to have a diagonal cut but the recent one has a straight cut. ( if u understand what i mean.. it is very hard to describe... sorry)

my '08 black smells like a new car interior, and i realised while out today that my hands smelt funny cus of the bag!
