Do you need a mini pochette?

Yes for sure! It's a staple. If you are going to get one, i suggest you start heading to your local LV to get your payment down.

I went to my local LV last week, paid for the entire amount, and am waiting for them to call me. They mentioned a wait time of 3 to 6 months. I preordered the monogram mini pochette.

Yes, definitely! In the past I bought almost all the prints but sold them because after using it for a while I had other catchalls i could use that were either cheaper or more versatile. However, after buying the Escale version because of course for the colors and realizing I can use it as a wallet ( gah! Why didn't I think of that sooner?), it has been a life changer! Lol! Now, basically it is all I use and haven't changed out of it in months!

You don't need it if you have other wristlets/cosmetic cases that currently carry what you want them for lol.
This thread is helpful to help you decide what you may want to use it for

This one is helpful for the flip side to consider

Wow the second thread really intrigued me!
It is nice to hear different perspectives--thanks for sharing :)

I use my mini pochette to carry cash notes, my key pouch (which contains cards and coins), my 4 key-holder, tinted lip balm, gum, a couple painkillers and plasters, a pocket mirror, and a mini mascara. It's sometimes all I need when I'm going out on errands or a meal out.

It is nice to know that key pouch and the 4-ring key holder (I'm assuming both are LV?) both fit comfortably in the mini pochette, along with some other items!

everyone should own a mini pochette! its a great sized catchall for small, loose items. i fit so much into mine and it keeps my bag really neat and organized. it fits into many small bags too ie. palm springs mini, favorite mm.
i know some people attach a crossbody chain to it and make it a mini errands bag. its just great for so many uses

I already own the pochette accesories which in my opinion looks better as a crossbody bag, hence the hesitation haha :(

No... I think it’s overrated. I bought one while I was in London lasT summer. I was lucky to get the last one at the store. I used it for about a week and then sold it on eBay. It took like 5 minutes to sell. (I was trying to recover my cost Only and not make a profit) Anyway, I realized that I always like to carry a bag even if for just quick errands or trips to the grocery store. Sometimes I’ll use my woc instead of a bag. The woc will fit my phone unlike the mini pochette. The most significant reason I sold it is because I have a lot of mini bags and the mini pochette takes up too much space in them.

That makes a lot of sense.
Thanks for sharing your perspective!
I think if I were to use one my smaller bags, I'd ditch the mini pochette since I may not need the organization function that it offers.
I can see why it wouldn't add a lot of value to your lifestyle if most of your bags are on the mini side.

I had one in 2006 which I paid $185 but ended up selling on eBay for $140 because it was useless. I did not miss it. I used Longchamp toiletries for catchall. Fast forward 2020, after watching its hype on youtube I just repurchased. Its useful but nothing that you "have to have" The more you watch youtube handbag videos, the more you want it.

Oh my gosh, you couldn't be more right haha.
I'm definitely guilty of watching too many handbag videos on Youtube and end up lusting over items that I know I wouldn't necessarily need or enjoy.
One of them is expensive WOC (talk Chanel or YSL)--I own a few mini bags that would do the same job, if not better.
But the LV key cles is one of those items that I see Youtubers really hype up as a "starter luxury piece".
I got one and never looked back :)
So I'm not sure which one the mini pochette would be lol.
Not too long ago I actually purchased a LV pouch that is similar to a small toiletry (I think it was part of a bigger LV purse that someone sold separately).
I was so excited about it but finding myself not reaching for it at all.
Luckily I managed to sell it rather quickly and made some money off it.

How do you use it as a wallet?
Did you have a separate card holder/smaller pouch in it, or you just let your cards, cash and coins float around in the mini pochette?

Yeah the monogram print has been sold out for some time in my local LV stores and websites :(
I feel like if I were to get one, I may go the preloved route and look for one that is in great shape, just to try it out and see how it fits into my lifestyle.
Thanks for sharing :)

I see. I do find the preloved prices in good condition is more expensive than the LV prices as they are generally sold for a markup on RRP.

Love my mini pochette and key cles combo, a match made in heaven!
The key cles fits a couple of my essential cards + keys and loose coins if I have them.
It fits perfectly in the mini pochette, and then I carry spare knick knacks such as my lip balm, spare contacts, eyedrops, pain killers and even a 30ml mini hand sanitiser. I use that as a grab and go for quick errands, and if I'm carrying a bag I will put the entire mini pochette with its contents in the bag or take it out again for a quick dinner out if needed (the knick knacks in my mini pochette are part of my daily essentials anyway!)
