I wore a toe ring when I was 10-17, but haven't since then. I wouldn't rule out a nice anklet though, who cares if anyone says they're "out"
No.no. Anklets are not out. They are very much in demand in India. Teenage girls compete with each other and try to out do the other girls in their college by dotting more attractive anklets. Only restriction is college and parents. Most of the colleges in Bangalore - India have restrictions on dress and jewellery. Even parents dont permit their daughters to wear anklets, since they feel that it is inviting attraction to boys. In fact it is true. But still girls will take the trouble and pain to put them in the bus/auto and try to hide it under the jeans and once the classes are over they will display it on their feet.

In fact, I don't have seen any girls and women wear jewelry on their feet in summer, I don't know why. Why we like wearing bracelet on our wrist but seldom to think about match a pair of bracelet to our feet? I want to have a try, what do you think of my idea?
U idea is great. U must have tired it by now. In fact anklets are more comfortable than bracelets. Reason is u barely do any bending of ur feet as much u do with ur hands. So the anklets will be less movable. And u will not find that much of an irritation. When u wear bracelets, it tends to go back and forth as u move ur arm as we normally do. Coming to the design, u can go for fancy ones if ur wearing a dress or a jeans which will almost cover ur ankle. But if ur are wearing any dress which will be above ur ankle u can go for the expensive and heavier ones as it will be visible. I know toe rings are a pain for u, but if ur wearing open slippers, u could go for the plain ones which will slip in ur toes. Also plastic ones which are soft are available and it will not cause u any discomfort but will add beauty to ur feet.

Ankle bracelets may be "out of style" for some people, but I have worn one since 1991. I went without for about 5 years when the bracelet broke in half & the price of gold went up. I have a silver one that my nieces gave me for Christmas 2 years ago.

My guy likes it, saying it was one of the first things he noticed about me 11 years ago. He says the bracelet is sexy!
Yes. Guys will like their love lady look glamorous. And feet are an important part of the body which requires attention. Even though how beautiful a lady is if her feet is not well maintained, her beauty goes down, which most of the ladies realize. I once saw a young lady who was very attractive and going with her fiance. But when I looked at her feet she was wearing sandals which seemed to em that it msut have been a decade old, and OMG when I looked at her feet they had cracks as if she was working in the fields. And they looked horrible. I was surprised why her fiance had not brought it to her notice and asked her to go for pedicure. There are ladies who don't like to wear anklets and toe rings, but they can go for the very simple one like a one mm chain of any metal and 2 mm toe ring for one finger of each toe. That is more than sufficient to add beauty to ur feet and of course the nail polish with little long nails.

I love adorning my feet. Aside from that, many men I've realised have foot and shoe fetishes. My anklet is so comfortable it's like it's not there. Anyone who wants to try it, go ahead. I'd recommend a flat design that's not too thin that it will break easily. That being said, my friend has worm a linked with with heavy gold charms for over ten years and she never takes hers off!

So is foot jewelry on the comeback? All things 90's fashion seems to be.

I love the look of foot jewelry, especially toe rings. Certainly don't care for tacky looking pieces. Love when my wife wears her simple thin silver or gold bands!

I think there's a fine line between classy and cheesy when it comes to anklets and toe rings. I see a lot of that layered Bohemian look showing up in pics and magazines. I love it!!

I always wear something on my right ankle, but it is usually a thin strip of leather with a pretty bead on it that I tie on and leave until it falls off. I have such profoundly ugly feet that I don't feel the need to draw any more attention to them than necessary, so I just put on some pink nail polish and forget about it.

Cool! I bought a plain black strings bracelet from Pura Vida that I plan to wear around my ankle this summer. Btw, love your username!! :)

Thanks! I took it from the REM song of the same name. One of my favorites.

I really like that Pura Vida ankle bracelet. I may need to pick one up for myself.

I wear a thin hammered 14 k rose gold toe ring on my right "index toe" (next to the big toe) and a similar yg one on my left. They are actually finger rings (stacking rings) I got on Etsy and sized appropriately to fit my toes and I find them very comfortable. I don't like the toe rings with the opening since they pinch and give me blisters, ugh. In the summer I also like to wear an anklet, a thin black silk cord with tiny rose gold filled beads. Just a little bit of sparkle on my feet. :-)

No way - many of my toes are banged up, crooked, swollen probably broken and I didn't realize it plus I have ugly late-50's year old feet. Don't want to draw attention. I do get pedicures in the summer just to look passable LOL.

That's so cool! Would love to see pics! How do you go about sizing your toes?? My wife complains about her rings pinching and doesn't like to wear for long periods of time.

I just wear a plain gold band on my toe on the summer. After reading all the good things about anklets, I may get one of those too [emoji4]ImageUploadedByPurseForum1429040473.959241.jpg
