Do You Heat Stamp Your Item’s?

Thank you. I thought it was that but not too sure. I have gotten a couple of hang tags stamped. (Before Coach charged for them if you don't buy a bag.)
I have also had my initials stamped on the hang tag from my Double Swagger
Lynne.
Whaaaaat? They charge now? Retail or outlet? Are you in the US or Canada? How recent was this?

Monogramming is free, whether you buy a bag or not. I know you can buy an extra hangtag at some stores but if you come in with your own hangtag, it's complimentary.
My outlet charges $5 to stamp a hangtag with purchase and sells additional hangtags if you don't want to stamp the one that comes with the bag. It is complimentary at the boutique.

I just took my Rogue 25 to a store after buying at a dept store online and the SA said it is free to stamp but discouraged me from having the 1941 hang tag stamp since she says it doesn’t lie flat in the machine and she’s regretted doing this to her own bags. She recommended buying another flat hang tag if I wanted the stamp. I think I’ll just stamp my dreamer tag.

I have had two rogue hangtags monogrammed with no issues whatsoever but I guess it could be a gamble. I have never heard about this problem before

She said a lot of people think it looks okay but that it was generally off a bit since the horse and carriage on the back of the tag sticks out. She did a demo for me and it wasn’t flat so I could see the point. If you’ve had luck, that’s great. I just thought I’d skip it on this one.

I feel like such an outlier, but I find the look of heat-stamped or monogrammed initials odd. Maybe it’s because I never had a middle name and for most of my life my initials were JK, so it just looked like I picked two random letters of the alphabet or I was saying just kidding. My initials now are JKI (made my maiden name my middle name when K got married), but I’m still not into the heat-stamped initials look. I would, however, consider getting a “symbol” (like a heart or dog) heat-stamped is there was something I liked enough.

On a side note, I had my first name monogrammed on my Longchamp tote and totally wish I hadn’t! I didn’t realize when I did it that I was advertising my name to the world. I’ve had people come up to me and pretend to know me because they could see my name on my bag just to mess with me. I know it’s not the same thing as heat-stamping initials on a small hang tag, but that experience has also left me weirdly adverse to to putting any sort of identifying information on my bags (though I can also see why it could be totally helpful in some situations).

Me too! No middle name either. I also use my maiden name as my middle name / initial.

I only had it done once, to my first Coach bag. Within a week the tag had fallen off. I found it eventually, but I remove all my hang tags now and keep them at home. I prefer the uncluttered look, and this way I don't have to worry about losing them. Since they don't stay on the bags, I don't see any point in personalizing them.
