I am the opposite. While I admire others' collections, I can't bring myself to own two bags in the same color. I love chartreuse and had an evelyne, but sold it when I decided to get a chartreuse birkin.

I don't have a bag set - I only have 2 bags - in Gris T (Kelly) and Prune (Bolide), but I completely understand papertiger's post. I think black anything, especially black box, looks great with GH, whether it is a Birkin, Kelly or Bolide. I am starting to want a classic set of (a few) bags to last me forever, just as she said. Funding it is something else though. I have thought about selling the Kelly (as beautiful as she is) just to get a BBK with GH, and then carrying on from there.

I have seen a similar thread here but it's a great topic to explore again. Thanks!

i have 2 blacks a birkin and kelly pochette, i am waiting for 2 x neutrals and one colour but blac k is my main theme - id quite like a neutral kelly (pale) and a black in the future

It's Gris T for sure - when I first got it, I was unsure because I knew nothing about bags and bag colours (and I bought it in total shock that it had been offered!). It's beautiful in clemence, with black resin against the Gris T colour. Immediately after buying it I happened to walk through Selfridges - it was the day they had an etoupe 35 Birkin in togo on display. The SA in Selfridges must have been new because she did not know the name of the colour of my bag which added to the confusion. During my reveal, fellow tPFers correctly identified the colour which I confirmed again over the phone with the SA. My colour knowledge is still not great, but better than it was then!! :smile1:

Chaz, Bluewin, all, your setlets are droolworthy. Bluewin, I love your reds!

Here are some quickly snapped pics of some H with a few non H mixed in: left - 32 barenia HAC; 28 porc sellier kelly; noisette box jige pm (barenia toile evelyne off to H spa); black evelyne togo gm; 28 sellier box kelly; evergrain jige pm; indigo barenia picotin pm; paris bombay; black non h croc bag (suarez); alligator brown non h bag (suarez); and some chanel, ysl, ghurka and a couple of my grandmothers glazed croc bags.

P.S. to me, barenia or noisette is a bright pop of color for a bag lol.

:graucho:I do the same thing! I tend to like the same few colors, and like to have "options" in different sizes so they can serve different purposes. The one I'm currently most excited about, I haven't completed yet.

I have a 35 raisin birkin w PHW, a 30 violine ostrich w PHW, and am waiting for a kelly pochette in amethyst croc.:graucho: I should have received the pochette already, but it was held up in France (something about the cites). When I have the trio assembled, I'll post a photo.

I also have a "neutral" trio with a 35 alezan birkin w GHW, a 30 etoupe birkin w PHW, and a 35 beige-rose retourne kelly w GHW. I'm very excited to have gotten my hands on the beige-rose kelly, because I understand that it was a color mostly reserved for croc, but mine is either clemence or togo (forget which one :shame:) I took it to Claude in NYC and he pulled out the giant archive swatch book to confirm that it is indeed beige-rose! :yahoo:

Beautiful set Julide.
I was thinking about how to simplify my closet and glade you brought up this bag set things up. I sometime ask myself: can I just live with one or two sets of bags I already have?
Someone like me who love certain colors is very easy end up with one or a few set of bags. for me, I have a set of red, blue, purple, black, brown,green and orange(yellow).
Really, can I just live with one or two sets of bags? I blame on H for making all those beautiful colors. and I love colors! that's my problem.
