Do you get offered champagne while shopping?

Very randomly.
Some of my earliest memories were with my mom when she shopped at St. John. They'd always offer champagne while she tried on clothing (even times when she made it clear she was just browsing) and I got offered a soda, of course.
At the Dior Montaigne location this past year, I wanted to take advantage of the euro-to-dollar and VAT - and got 2 mugs (the cannage and lily of the valley). Pretty much a minimal spend kind of situation but when I said "hey why not, I'm gonna grab the 2nd mug - I'm in Paris, let's go wild" and the SAs were so sweet, they said let's get you some champagne! 🥂

But at the stores I shop regularly at - no champagne, just water (still/sparkling) and sometimes not even that lol.

It's very random...I used to get offered champagne all the time at LV, and sometimes at Hermes.
Now it's mostly water or soda. I will say my Dior SA offers me champagne even if I just pop in to chat...and the Fendi people are always so nice (much more consistently nicer/down-to-earth than Hermes SAs), they'll give me anything I want. :girlsigh:

My friends and I were offered champagne at Ferragamo (5th Ave). I was the only one buying. It was holiday time and a few years ago so I don’t know if that made a difference.

A number of years ago when shopping at Neiman Marcus, with a substantial history of buying St John, I was given champagne in the dressing room.
When DH and I were at Louis Vuitton in Wailea, Maui, we were given champagne.
At art galleries in general, we're usually offered wine or hard liquor.
