Do you ever go out just so you can wear your new handbag?

The other week I was stuck at home because of the weather and felt the urge to go out with a bag that I wore one just to walk down to my mailbox! LOL.
Usually have a special "1st day out " with new bag.
It can be simple or fancy activity--last one, took to see a movie.
It feels good to do a christening of sorts & introduce a bag to my lifestyle--see how we get along. Work out any issues.
I try very hard not to spill stuff on or slam new bag into doorframes accidentally, that 1st day out.
Because, most likely, that will happen on 2nd day.

I have grabbed mine to pick up my kid from school just to get her out of the house - to the car - back to house routine. I let her meet my mommy friends.

I ordered a Dooney & Bourke pocket satchel from QVC about 3 years ago. It was waiting for me when I got home from work Friday night. Saturday was laundry day, but I was so excited about my new bag I wore it around the house by the shoulder strap while I put away linen. Almost every time I walked through the family room my DH would ask me if I was going somewhere. 
I love the first outing with a new bag, wherever it is!

That's so funny! My dog gets excited when she sees me reaching for my bag and like your DH, probably wonders if I'm going somewhere!
