I'm curious, do you ever have the urge to go somewhere just so you can wear your new handbag or favorite handbag? Maybe because it just feels so good to do so? Maybe because you feel like showing it off a little bit (even though people won't notice)?

I do get the urge, not to show off vainly, but because I want to wear my purse and use it and not just admire it in my house. In fact, when I'm done with work today, I'm going to the mall with my LV Multicolore (white) Sologne Messenger bag. Just for fun. :p

I think a new bag is a lot like a new dress or new shoes. I like to wear them because I am excited about them, not necessarily because anyone else will notice. It is likely that the only thing anyone else would notice would be my demeanor - upbeat and confident. But yes, I do like to go out wearing new things sometimes.

Haha, I like this thread! My answer is yes, I am planning a trip to a posh shop just to show off my Celine handbag (from U.S.) which is wait-listed in the store...:p

Me too. I'm more likely to use a particular bag, depending on where I'm going. For example, I have a home in rural area, and I'm more likely to wear a Fossil, whereas if I want to wear something more upscale, I'll go visit the city or a mall. Let me tell you something....I am starting to know NYC very well! :graucho:

Uhhmmm...it's like this....more of the other way around actually....sometimes I buy a new bag specifically for an event that's coming up or to take out on a special date . :)
