Do you consider infinity necklace as "classic" jewelry?

Thanks for your trust.
Yes, the chain goes very well with the pendant. The combo is very pleasant looking and can be worn casually everyday, in jeans or smart casual dress.

If you do not mind, I would like to offer some advice. It seems to me that you have got enough of very nice jewelry that is good to wear for all occasions and for a long while. From now on, hold off purchases, and save your money for more important pieces on your forever wish list.

As you age, you will find your taste become more refined and sophisticated. At that time, you will be attracted to more classic, luxurious jewelry which costs a lot. By then, you will wish that you had saved your money for these "must-haves". Once you acquire a few of these must-haves, you will find yourself constantly wearing them such that almost all your prior jewelry purchases will end up sitting in your jewelry box collecting dust. By then, you will feel the old jewelry pieces wasteful, because you cannot resell them easily for decent amount of money. If you calculate the total amount of money spent on the old purchases, you will say to yourself, "wow, I could have got that rock and "x, y, z" on my wish list."

What I said above is my own experience. Fortunately, I did not start splurging on jewelry or designer accessories early like most people. Still, I have several items that I know are wasted. They are difficult to sell (will be difficult to get back 25% of what I paid), but are too much money to give way.

I hope you do not find yourself in this situation which is common to most people.

Hi Christiflora! Sorry to bother you again. I just noticed that there is a difference in color between the cross pendant and wheat chain. The wheat chain tends to be a bit darker because of the details and lacks shine as compared to the cross pendant with white diamonds. Should I go for another chain style? Or wheat chains are really like that? The pendant is 18karat white gold. The chain is 14karat white gold.

I understand what you are saying about the different color/shine, although it is difficult to tell from the photos if there is a significant mismatch between the chain and the pendant.

Some people may prefer the pendant to be shinier and thus stand out more than the chain. Other people may want consistency in color/shine. You may want to go back to your jeweler to see if there is a better matched chain in color and shine. For sure, you want to choose a chain that has similar thickness as your current chain.

The other chain available is a thinner open link chain. Other were not appealing to me. I am just worried that a thinner chain can not handle the weight of the pendant.

How about you? Do you prefer matching shine/color for the chain & pendant or do you like the pendant to stand out?

In general, I prefer a more solid and sturdy chain than a flimpsy one for the relatively heavy pendant (heavier than dbty Diamond), so I will not consider the thinner open chain. I do not mind the chain being slightly darker and duller than the pendant, if the color combination is exactly like what the photos show. Sometimes, it is nice not to have the chain steal the show.

BTW - I like your pendant.

Thank you again and again, Christiflora. I have decided to keep the chain and did not exchange it with the open link chain. I also asked my boyfriend, mom and dad if there is a color difference and they did not notice much. Lol!

I also like my pendant. So girly but sophisticated looking. I am in love with baguette diamonds (not sure if I spelled it correctly).
