Do u have a fake weddinf set u use for travel or the beach etc? im thinking of getting a mossianite for this purpose...can I see pics of your ladies real set vs your dummy set?

I don't. Nor would I. If your ring is insured (and it should be) I see no reason why you should be afraid to wear it on vacation. If you don't want to wear the e ring, just wear your wedding band. I guess I see no reason to spend the money to have a dummy set made but that's just me!
My ring is insured and fits perfectly. Never in 16 years of wearing my wedding set did I have a ring come off unexpectedly, even in the water. As for crime, well, a fake is as much a target as the real thing and additionally there are diamonds a whole lot bigger than mine. If I were travelling to a high crime area I wouldn't wear a ring at all, but we haven't vacationed in areas like that. I don't have a stand-in ring, nor have I ever felt I wanted/needed one.
That would not work for me. I'd rather wear no ring at all. If you're going somewhere or doing something that makes you uncomfortable wearing your diamonds, why not just buy a plain platinum or gold band if you feel that you simply must have a ring on your finger?
I don't have a fake set but I do have a tiny solitaire (only 0.17 ct) which I wear in place of my e-ring. If i am worried about safety I wear just my wedding band which has no diamonds.
What is your concern regarding wearing your actual wedding set? Are u worried about losing it or about safety? If it is the latter I'd say don't bother getting a fake set, cos robbers aren't going to come at you with a loupe to check if your diamonds are real before mugging you. I know of a guy who wore a fake $10 gold chain and got robbed just the same. The robber probably kicked himself but luckily the victim wasn't hurt.

I have lupus so sometimes my hand swells. Mu rings are a little big to compensate. U can always insure them but money could never replace the sentimental value attached to them if they are lost. Im not worried about being robbed. Just mostly them coming off if wet. I cant go without my finger feels naked lol!! I thought it was a little more common but guess not
I don't have a fake wedding set, but I wear another ring that DH got for me while we were dating in place of my wedding set when we are on vacation. I, also, feel naked when there is no ring on my finger. 
Yes, I do. I'm a little paranoid about that. We cruise a lot and I just got back from a girls trip to Vegas. Nobody can tell (or they don't have the balls to ask). My traveling set is a qvc diamonique bridal set that I bought for fifty bucks a few years ago, it's a believable size for me and I really like it.
my husband and i travel a lot to the caribbean islands to scuba dive. since most of these countries are poor i don't feel comfortable wearing anything that may flaunt wealth so when we travel i have a plain gold band that i wear. these trips are also very casual (t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops) so jewelry really isn't something i need to pack.
When I travel to Cancun I always wear one of my Tiffany silver rings and a different watch, something very understated. I don't want to bring attention to myself. Beside, I don't mind wearing these pieces in the water. I would never wear my Michele diamond deco to the beach. Just my scenario...
I wear my rings everywhere, but if I was going someplace where I felt diamonds may not be appropriate or would attract unwanted attention I'd wear my plain band. I don't see the point of a fake set unless you want a different style of rings to wear. You can lose your rings just as easily at home as away.
I wear a silver ring and el cheapo watch when I travel. All my jewellery is insured but I don't want to deal with the hassle of making a claim unless it was a situation beyond my control e.g. fire, flood, act of God. Plus I can't replace the sentimental value of some pieces.
