Do Discontinued LV bags like Mahina become worth more??

I don't think the demand is there although Mahina Leather is beautiful. Ex. I requested a quote from fashionphile for my Mahina XL Sable with GH(Brand new never carried) and they offered me 1300 for a 4000+ bag. I know it is business for them but it was a real low ball offer....just saying. So I put it off as the demand not being there.

It's really hard to guess what the resale market will years later but from personal experience, I had more luck selling my LV monogram bags then the Suhali and epi. Even the popular speedy in epi took a longer time to sell than the monogram speedy which was older. People want the LVs. I don't blame them as I had the same thought process when I first got in LV many years ago.

Mahina didn't really keep its value. I think once it started not being featured in stores the demand for it ceased. I am surprised at how little they sell for preloved now and yet not since styles have changed quite a bit.

If you want to know what will retain value the best on the secondhand market, it is usually the most loud and logo heavy piece you can think of. If it screams LV, it will sell to the pre loved market.
The bigger the logo, the higher the price.
Exactly you can get amazing leather LV bags for great prices preloved. Not to mention once very expensive seasonal or runway bags (50 to 75% off). While used monogram bags fly off the shelf at near retail.

Mahina isn't the most popular line, but it definitely retain a niche; since the line is still in production. As a buyer in second hand market, I am happy they don't retain their value...but the seller wouln't be pleased. lol

And I must add that I agree about Suhali. It was once the top of the line at Louis Vuitton... Nowadays it's getting no love on the second-hand market.

I bought my three Suhali lockits on the pre-loved market. I had wanted that bag for years and now I finally got 3 of them! The pre-loved market allowed me to finally acquire them. I got them for about half the price of new. Even an iconic bag will not appreciate in value, but there are bags hold their value more than others. If you resell your bag, this allows you to use it and yet recoup much of your money.
