Do diamonds from Tiffany have more sparkle?

Hi ladies!
Can we take the jewelry to Tiffany to get cleaned/polished? And how often do we have to do this? I recently bought a dbty and I want to keep it as sparkly as possible. Thanks [emoji259]

Tiffany cleans any diamond, gold, or platinum jewelry complimentary. I clean mine at home and take it in every now and then whenever I feel like it needs a good cleaning.

It's the color. Tiffany only uses diamonds of a certain color grade so most of their diamonds are colorless (I can't remember the grade). Big difference from other jewelry stores. And yes, lighting helps and the constant polishing! But in the end, I believe it is the color that makes the difference.

Color has nothing to do with that. Like, at all. But a warmer stone can look livelier in some cases, so an H-J range. The slight bit of warmth within the body of the stone can give a really nice fiery feel. Clarity also has nothing to do with sparkle. Until you're well into the I-2 clarity range, or heavily clouded, clarity rarely impacts light return.

Cut quality is why a stone sparkles. Tiffany actually rarely hits what would qualify as truly ideal cut. So unless you've studied cut and gotten a truly ideal cut stone and know what you're getting, which the average buyer doesn't and isn't, it will outperform the average diamond. Cartier is around the same. Both brands have a set of specs they tend to aim for, neither of which is would the industry would consider a truly super ideal cut set of specs.

Cleanliness WILL make a difference. Keep your stuff clean!

People think my 1.5 cushion is atleast 3 carat stone and the highest FL grade... this is not inside the store. .. but what do I know :p maybe it's the halo! Try comparing with a non Tiffany diamond, Side by side and you will know what I meant.

While there's maybe an element of cut style, that's got a lot to do with the halo. Cushions are stones that traditionally face up a lot smaller for their carat weight. Tiffany does a nice halo setting tho. And I love their legacy cut.
