Disney x Coach - Outlet Edition Spring 2017

Hey everyone, so I am a huge Disney fan (actually just got married in Disney World November 1!) and I had bought one of the Dooney and Burke backpacks for my trip. Well, used it once and the top layer of the leather started to rub off (not a natural patina process after one use).
So! Disney had to issue me a credit for $248, and I started browsing the shopdisney.com website, and I come across a new category called "The IT List" and see a bunch of Coach x Disney items. So as I keep researching, I realize the items they are selling had been in Coach outlets all summer, and went to clearance.
So I called Coach and they said their licensing agreement ended with Disney, and they had to send whatever was left back.
So my question is, the Coach items on ShopDisney.com might be the leftover clearance items all the stores had to send back, so can they justify selling them for full price?
I LOVE the brown leather Charlie backpack with the Mickey patches, and I think it looks very well made. I don't even mind paying full price for it because I think it's worth it, but I'm afraid I'll be paying full price for an item that's been sitting in a store all summer long and then the clearance section. Imiginimg all the scratches on that beautiful leather from all the customers picking it up, or it possibly being a returned item, only to get resold again and again...
I called ShopDisney.com and asked if this is the case, and they had no answers for me. I kept pushing the issue, and finally they made a ticket for someone to respond with:
The origin of where the bags came from, specificly if they came from the Coach outlets as leftovers, or did these come from a warehouse and have never been in contact with the public.
The second question I asked of them is to verify the date the bag was made. If it comes back from last spring, I'll obviously know this was not a "new" item that ShopDisney is making now.
What do you guys think? Any info on this? Any advice?

The price tag says $450 but of course, it was never sold for that. So at least Disney isn't charging the full price.
I doubt they made a separate run for sale by Disney.
Wow, thank you so much for the reply. I'm happy to know it was more expensive as an MSRP, so I feel a little more comfortable about the $329 price.
All I hope is that the backpacks are coming from a warehouse only, and were not potentially roughed up bags collected from the outlet remains...

My dear, your comment is so sweet!!! I am waiting to post pics of the wedding as soon as I get them back from Disney! They gave us a couple, here is a photo shoot we did in "France" Epcot, with my Alma BB!
