It's a contract thing. Chamilia "lost" (or didn't renew, or whatever) their partnership in the US with Disney last year, so they don't sell new Disney items anymore.
However, Disneystore is selling the "leftovers", while selling the new products from the new partnership with Pandora.
Meanwhile, Chamilia still has the rights in Europe, so they release new collections there, while Pandora isn't allowed to sell their Disney products.
The whole situation doesn't make any sense nowadays, considering how often people travel or order online and abroad... it seems a very outdated way of doing business!
I live in NY. I build my frozen set and Ariel set in NYC soho and 34th street Pandora. They do sell Disney charms in NY. Some speciality ones like sleeping beauty castle or Cinderella castle or Epcot charm or anything Disney parks related are not sold on NYC stores. You have to order them on Disney.com website.
Other Pandora Disney charms like Mickey Mouse, eeymore or tinkerbell and more are sold in NYC stores.
For anyone interested, Disney has free shipping for 3 days on Disney Park items. I think Pandora is included but I did no try it. The code is PARKFREE.
