I have a stupid amount of Rogues - they’re my favourite leather bag. I’m considering letting go of one because the colour, while beautiful, doesn’t easily match with most of my wardrobe. I have come to realize that while colourful bags are beautiful to look at, they don’t work for extended carry. I don’t switch bags daily unless it’s a special occasion or small day bag and I’m purposefully downsizing.

I have the following:

36: 1941 Saddle
31: Chalk, Oxblood with Rivets, Black, Prussian Blue/Black Whipstitch, Steel Blue (will probably rehome this one)
25: Black/Brass Tea Rose, Washed Red Tea Rose, Beechwood/Chalk Colorblock

My everyday size is the regular (31cm); it fits everything I like to carry and has room to include extra items like an umbrella, gloves or water bottle. The 25 just fits everything I carry but does not allow anything else to be added. It’s just a titch on the small side for me, but manageable.

I have no damage to hardware on any black copper bags, btw.

I love the Rogue. I have mostly Rogue 36 bags, but I just bought the Souvenir haircalf regular sized Rogue and I will add that to my rotation. I have denim blue with snakeskin, heather grey with snakeskin, black and olive Rogue 36 bags. I love how I don't have to carry a laptop bag to work anymore. I can fit my water, my laptop, all my purse stuff in my Rogue and it still looks great and streamlined and is not too heavy. I use the shoulder straps and find them to be really comfortable. I love the leather quality on the Rogues. The workmanship is equal to any of my Premier designer bags.
I was in a "break up" with Coach when the Rogue first came out. (I was sick of paying full price and watching my bags go 70-90% off six months later.) so I missed the runway bags and the cool rare rogues that came out in 2016. I am back buying Coach, (but only at outlet prices or on Ebay at outlet prices) and I will start searching for a few more interesting Coaches to add to my collection.

Coach got the Rogue so right. And they tried to stick to their guns with pricing for a bit. But the quality is too high for them to keep selling them at $300 or less, so I can see why they are discontinuing them. Of course they could have had another option of not putting so many to outlet, (and then they would have made a profit on them) but that is a story for another thread.:biggrin:

I have 9 rogues now. 4 36 (Black whipstitch handle, MTO Saddle Suede with Croc Handles and Grey Suede with Python Handles and a horizontal 36 in Oxblood) and 5 30's (Gray suede, Blue Keith Haring with sequin heart, Green with Python handles, Original with Key and lock in Mineral and Exotic Patchwork) and I love them all. I change my bags daily and as you can see from my avatar over there, I have a lot to choose from but I use my Rogues more than the others. I think they are great and versatile but I do hear you about the weight. They can get heavy.

The kisslock is the #1 reason why I haven't added anymore of this size. I switched back into my regular size one on Thursday to decide if I wanted to add more during this sale. First thing that I remembered was that darn kisslock is there instead of a slip pocket. I also find the zip pocket harder to open on the regular. It doesn't stick, but the cloth lining moves too much so I have to hold both sides to unzip. It does fit all my essentials better than the 25 and 2 water bottles easily.

I thought NO WAY would a 25 work for me, but I'd been using the past 2 weeks and really like it. I tuck the handles in and am able to fit wallet, cosmetic case, card case, keys, gum, chapstick, crackers, mirror and 1 water bottle in there. Phone in slip pocket. For me I like the size better because I can also use crossbody w/a novelty strap. The regular size is too big on me crossbody. I will mention that I don't zip the main compartment of either size because I really prefer open easy access bags.

When I read this yesterday I didn't remember minding the kisslock.
Today when using my 31, I definitely minded it (kept it open!), since generally I keep my quick cosmetics in there. I totally see your point!

I completely understand and agree on all your points- I have a veeeery similar (but opposite) collection! Some are just gorgeous to look at but don't fit in w my things (I have a Marine 25. Which is gorgeous, but goes with NOTHING else...)

(I absolutely love your blues but definitely know those don't go with anything in my wardrobe, either! They are beautiful and do stand alone. I have two denims which are in this off 1-off category. Well, that and the Marine I don't know what to do with and am loathe to rehome.)

Marine is almost exactly the same colour as Steel Blue. Gorgeous but so hard to match. I even bought a pair of Coach shoes to make it easier, but that doesn’t help much. Now I have two items that don’t match most of my wardrobe instead of one.

Aaaargh- exactly!!! I don't know what I was thinking picking this one up. It was hugely discounted when I happened upon it, and I just thought it was a gorgeous color. Little did I realize it would be so hard!

Thanks for asking this question, OP! I’m considering purchasing the Rogue and have been having the same thoughts as you.

Has anyone here owned the metallic graphite Rogue? How do you like it and how has it held up? I’ve never purchased metallic leather so I’m hesitant, wondering if it ages as well as regular pebbled leather.

I’m eyeing a metallic rogue too! I was wondering the same. Does the metallic coating peel off??

I have a blue rogue 25 and the quality is really impressive. Thick smooshy yet structured leather that has stood up very well to months of use. No scratches on the leather!

I even travelled internationally with it. I would say it is heavy for its size and I stuff it to the brim. But it does hold quite a bit. I don’t find the shoulder straps uncomfortable. Overall I really like it and am considering another!

I actually purchased the metallic graphite Rogue and used it for about a week or so.

It’s beautiful and gives off a slightly edgy vibe, not at all tacky as I had feared. I don’t believe the metallic sheen will fade away. It doesn’t look like a coating to me at all, perhaps the leather is dyed?

The leather isn’t as soft and luxurious as the pebbled leather, but it gives a certain amount of structure to the bag which works well with this style imho. I feel like it will hold up well in the long run and will not droop due to the weight of the handles.

Overall, I’m happy with my purchase ☺️ Glad I managed to sweep up the iconic style in a somewhat uncommon iteration.

Hit me up with any questions you have!

Thanks for this! I’ve had metallic bags where the metallic sheen just rubbed or flakes off so I stopped buying those kinda bags. But good to know this seems good quality! I’m eyeing the rose gold metallic but I’m not sure how the longevity will be on this style.

I love loud colors and bling but I’m afraid I’ll get tired of a bag that stands out so much! Maybe the navy metallic would be a better choice...

I bought the metallic rogue in one of the recent Coach online outlet sales (they have two sales a week so I can't remember which one I bought it in lol)

Although the quality of the Rogue is not as good as the 2016-2017 rogues, it is still a great purse for the outlet price (especially with an extra coupon like I had). The Rogue's appeal to me is the combination of the clean, streamlined lines of the purse, the excellent quality, and the thoughtful interior design. I can fit literally everything I need for the day in a purse that looks sleek and stylish. (As opposed to a hobo style which starts to look lumpy and "potato sack" like when filled for me)

Add a sleek, subtle sheen to the leather, and I am sold! I kept the bag even though it was not the same quality leather as my other Rogues because I love the combination of the streamlined style and the metallic leather.

I cannot answer for the Rogue in particular but I can state that Coach's metallics have greatly improved. I own a market tote in metallic platinum from last fall, and wore it for a month and a half straight. No signs of wear from metallic rubbing off. They've stepped up their game, because I had a pair of sandals from about a decade ago that the gold metallic wore horribly. They looked years old after a few months. They accepted them back as defective for store credit thankfully! And I recall people have had similar issues with their bags back then too. I haven't heard anyone complain in the past year or more.
