Totally agree Swanky!!!

Good lord, if I hadn't upgraded (4x in 20 years) I'd still be wearing my 1/5 carat solitare with a visible CRACK down the middle! It's all we could afford at the time.

No ego about it... We've been through alot & my Hubba agrees I've DESERVED the upgrades over the years!!! :graucho:

well, that's YOUR opinion, not the gospel :D
Lots of us change it over time because we want to. Some of us aren't sentimental about the way a design looks but what it meant when slipped on the finger, that never changes.
And don't judge people, you don't know us, so to say people upgrade because they have big ego's is pretty rude :nono:
To each their own.

Yes, to each their own.

That's my opinion and I posted it. No big deal, don't make it one.

GEEZ!:nogood:

No, it's not about style.

Your style changes but your ring.....well, it should be timeless IMO. Some people like to upgrade....to them, bigger is better, sort of an ego thing to make up for insecurities.

But your ring is GORGEOUS as it is....and it's the one he gave to you. I wouldn't change it. Your ring is one of the most beautiful expression of love that he could ever give you.

I'd keep this and if you REALLY want an all white-gold ring, then get a ring for your right hand!

I disagree also.
Jewelry is about style and peoples style and tastes DO change.

Has anyone ever had any pieces dipped and NOT liked it? I just had a tennis bracelet dipped (was YG) and picked it up today and, well, I am really not happy with it :shucks:
It looks more Silver than like White Gold, kind of, well cheap almost ..... is this normal?
and can the process be reversed? I KNEW I should have just bought a new one :lawl:

Oh no....you are making me nervous. I just dropped my rings off yesterday to have them plated. I hope I like it.

Oh I am sorry :shame:
I don't know why but I just don't care for this much on my bracelet, it just looks too much like Silver and not WG at all. Maybe it is just "too much" ? I personally wish I would have left this piece alone tbh, but I have heard so many say they have had good luck dipping their pieces :shrugs:

I did have my ring dipped and I love it.

Please show the after pics. I too have a yellow gold wedding set and I have been considering having my engagement ring dipped. Last month was my 18th wedding anniversary and 40th b'day so hubby got me a white gold 1ct tw 5 stone anniversary band. I picked it out. I don't wear yellow gold anymore. I just think the white suits my skin tone better. He wants to upgrade my ering for our 20th but I love my ring. I've been thinking of dipping it so I can wear it with the anniversary ring. Please show us the after pics. By the way, your ring set is beautiful.
