Hello all! Look at my book tote! Something is bothering me and I need advice!

It turns yellow especially on the handle and I wonder if it’s just dirty or what. I use wipes to clean it after every use. I also put this inside my air dresser few times to “sanitize” it. Any tips on cleaning my book tote? Can I drop off to my dry cleaner?

Is it only that bit on the handle or is it along other seams? A few You tubers have posted a known fault, where the book tote develops stains on the canvas all along the glue line. If only the handle patch - could be oils from your Hands re-acting with the wipes. I always wrap my handles with just some white Dior ribbon, then remove and wash it when it looks grubby.

My original blue oblique book tote turned lavender along the entire top portion where it was glued and in some places on the rolled handles as well. This is a known defect amongst some people who own the bag and from my research mainly happens to the blue and gray. The company refuses to acknowledge and will put on a show that they have never seen it despite the YouTube videos and customer complaints, however they did replace my bag after I basically said I would not stand for anything less. It took them weeks for corporate approval but it was done. I have two book totes and my burgundy one is perfect. I love the style but hesitate on purchasing another one after this. Mine had very minimal wear—practically brand new after intermittent carrying one summer. I would take it is as this is unacceptable for a 3500k bag imo.

I would probably steer clear of using anything such as wipes on the tote.
I’ve read of some darker shades discoloring, but using wipes on a white, lighter colored fabric bag could have caused or accelerated the discoloration. I will note that white may discolor anyway, but I have a black and white dior around the world embroidery LD that wears quite well. I would certainly take it to a dry cleaner for an expert opinion on cleaning. but, otherwise, I would wrap the handles with light colored twillies.

It’s on the handles and also on the body of the bag. When my husband sees it he asks why did I make it so dirty. I doubt because I take good care of the bag. I also wipe it with baby wipes but I don’t see dirts coming off. I see very little glue inside but it’s not too obvious.

Okay I will try dry cleaning it
