I've been admiring this bag too (croc embossed version, large NS). I have 3 classic lrg NS Hamilton bags already but...

I never got into croc until recently (just last summer/fall) and got one in a med-pale grey. Now I think I "need" black croc or...

Locally, I have seen ladies carrying the red croc Dillon. Has anyone see the grey, black or walnut in person? Online the grey looks more like mink-taupe. I'm wondering about the grey croc because I prefer silver hw over the gold but black/gold might be ok too. Guess I will check them out myself as long as they're all in stock. I'm not worried about the lack of full top zip because of the center full zip compartment. I just hope the croc embossed leather isn't too shiny.

Ooh, I hope I don't like this bag "too" much because then, I'm going to want one in several colours: black, red, grey...all depends...maybe I'll mix up the size for extra variety? Yikes, what if MK eventually does a navy croc or a dark jade croc? Dark brown? Not sure I like the walnut although I know it's classic croc look. The red croc is nice because it's dark red...what if MK does ostrich embossed? Yikes

Sorry for the late response. I was thinking the raspberry b/c I don't have that color. But It will not be a purchase anytime soon I just downsized (lol) to 10 MK bags, and I will be saving for another brand I have my eye on, branch out a bit.....

Hello and Happy New Year to all. Excuse me for chiming in but I just fell in love with this bag but I've been down sizing, too! Sigh...here I go again. I guess I have to pace myself though. It's not too shiny irl and the leather is soft, pliable and lightweight (but not so lightweight that it feels cheap). Finally though, it's nice to find a bag that doesn't weigh a ton.

I was carrying a large NS Hamilton today (reg leather) and was happy to discover a difference in size between the large croc Dillon. The NS Dillon is a tad more compact. I'm so happy to discover "differences" so that I can come up with any excuse to buy one.

I was also really happy to discover that the EW croc embossed Dillon includes the center zip pocket. I had confused it with the smallest version which only has a magnetic closure. The EW version counts in terms of picking something "different". So now my croc embossed Dillon Wish List is down to 3: black, red and walnut. Maybe the walnut would be the smaller EW version and the other 2 larger NS.

This is another bag I'm interested in. I have a Large Selma in Gray Croc but I'm liking the red in this one.

These are downright collectible. I just have one croc embossed handbag and it's grey too (but not MK).

I like the MK Dillon croc in black, red, walnut and today I saw the navy! I saw the mandarin which is fine but not into orange-y red right now.

I have to say, I would like a Dillon croc in green - same green as Gooseberry from last season, pretty please!

I'm just talking out loud, in a chatty mood so...I'm more of a silver hw kind of gal (although I go nutty over gunmetal) but I can do matte gold, soft gold, antique brass, antique rose gold so...should I hold out for a black croc Dillon with silver hardware and/or go for the dark red Dillon because it actually comes with silver hardware? Or...just go for the black first because the gold hardware is actually very minimal anyway. It's not like I cannot do gold hw and I do have some black handbags with gold hw but yea...mostly, I go for silver.

I always have a tough time when given choices: colour, size (large NS vs smaller EW) and hw combo plays a role in my decision too. I guess there's no mad rush. I believe my Top Two picks are still:

  1. black NS tote (gold hw)
  2. dark red NS tote (silver hw) or maybe the dark red EW satchel?
  3. walnut or navy EW satchel (gold hw)

I love the Navy!! Color choices are hard for me too. The black is so classic & sophisticated. I'm hoping things will slow down for me so I can get to the stores & check them out in person. I've seen the Sky Blue online but would like to see it in person. How does the leather feel?

I am impressed by the leather - it is soft, supple yet thick enough. It does not feel cheap. Many online pics appear a bit too shiny (almost) patent but in real life, I like these a lot. But man, I have got to stop with the collecting!

I have purged my collection by consigning contemporary handbags and doing private sales for higher end so I'm not suppose to grow my collection (again). Sigh

I refuse to downsize. I try to buy classics that will survive the crazy trends & will last for decades. I also change out my purses every couple of days to keep down the daily wear. I told my husband I needed a bigger closet. He told me once our youngest son moves out, I can take over his closet! LOL My biggest problem is MK has so many styles that I really, really love. I'm thinking the Dillon will be a great alternative to the Hamilton. I have 3 Hamilton's & want at least a couple of more in colors so I'm hoping the Dillon will cure that. I've seen the red Dillon online (and I do need a red purse) but I want it to be a true red. That's one of the reasons I want to see them in person. I have the gray croc Selma & I love her!! She goes great with anything from jeans to dressy.

Oh my goodness - I have 3 classic Hamilton bags too! Is 3 the magic number?
Mine are all regular leather (large NS tote) as I'm one of the few who don't make a beeline for saffiano type leather. I got burnt orange first, then the black & vanilla. I really wanted the black with gunmetal hw but missed out both times. Too distracted by other bags, other brands.

The Dillon large NS tote is more compact than the Hamilton counterpart - so more of an excuse to buy since it IS diverse.

I need a giant walk-in closet too! I had to downsize simply because I own way too many handbags - more than I could possibly use. I'll have a divine handbag to carry well into my 90's.

Yes, you must see the dark red for yourself. I'm colour sensitive myself so you just never know - it's always so personal. I'm happy to find a red MK bag without gold hw, that's a plus for me. With the classic Hamilton design, I didn't really like the EW satchel but when it comes to the Dillon croc, I think it's really, really nice!

Missmoimoi, your pictures are always so great! Both the black and navy look gorgeous! You're going to have some hard decisions to make. :smile1:

I'm really hoping the red is a true red. I'm not fond of the tomato red color. I like Mandarin but I don't love it or think I would carry it very much. I have 1 Hamilton in Luggage leather & 2 in Saffiano...N/S in Dark Dune & E/W in Aqua. I love the Saffiano because it cleans well & isn't prone to scratches but I do love the feel of soft, buttery leather especially in unstructured bags like hobo styles.

I'm so addicted. I have always collected jewelry to the point my husband calls me "his little jewelry whore". But I have so much now that I know I'll never wear it all. My sister & sister in law are always raiding the "jewelry store" as they call it. But I have gone from jewelry to purses...especially MK purses. :graucho:
