I like the one with canvas as it has more contrast to it. But the SA seems to be dissuading me from getting it. Said the canvas body and strap will fray and I have to make sure the canvas won't stink else it has to be cleaned by dry cleaner and no one wears logo anymore. People who understand designer bags go for discrete look. I know the full leather looks lux but I love the contrast of canvas.
I just got back from my local boutique. They just got lady webs fresh just displayed today. They made a bit of adjustment. No mini version n only the canvas green and read strap available but they have the red and black combination canvas version aside from the brown one.
My concern is how bad it'd be if the canvas gets in touch w/ water especially rain water? The SA told me to avoid any type of water at all cost. Any experience from the TPFER? It seems this bag still has few followers compared to other type of gucci's bag. Hopefully there's someone who could accommodate my concern before i decide which one to buy.

Can't help you with the canvas question but mine is suede and (unlike leather) I make sure I spray it (outside) with a protector spray
With original canvas I would have thought it more important to avoid rubbing than water
Thanks for the info Dear. The protective spray i experienced that it'd change the texture by bits. I've asked one a professional laundry to spray a bit on a leather sample though not canvas and the texture looks different compared between the sample leather and the bag itself.
The gucci's canvas seems more fabrick-y too than other canvas bag i know. The thing is i'm going to use it for travelling so it'd be exposed to outdoor activities. I'm in dilemma of buying it or not. It's such gorgeous bag

.! It is so gorgeous I was actually quite nervous handling it. And now after reading the concerns about the fabric strap, I intend to research my options for protecting both the leather bag and strap AND now the fabric strap.
