Did you ever do that or it is only me?

I'm sure we all like the act of sharing, whether it is us sharing our stuff with our friends or it is our friends who share their stuff with us. But when sharing is about our handbags, then it is another story.

I personally do not like to share my bags with those friends who are not close to me or those who do not take great care of even their own bags. But I like to share my stuff with my close friends that I trust them or my family members. I let them borrow my stuff while I can borrow from their collection. I do this because I can have variety in my collection and expand it.

Is anyone else doing this or it is only me who rotate my stuff with my family members and close friends?

I do not share my bags with anyone. If I let my dd or Mom use a bag it is because I do not want it back. They are both not careful with bags. My mom always gets pen marks in her bags and my dd will put a bag on the floor.

It's a very good idea.... but my friends are not into bags at all.....
I once offered to lend one of my bags to a friend who was going to a wedding at the other end of the world and she was so scared something might happen to it that she preferred to buy one instead! she used it only once.
What a shame!😯

When asked to split a dessert in restaurants, I still order my own.
Then say, "Sorry, I don't share well."

Were I a better/sweeter/etc. little angel, I might share my current handbags generously.
But I'm not. So, I don't.

I only lend my cheap - and by cheap, I mean those 10-20 € bags I have buried deep in the back of my closet - to my best friend or Mom, others can go and buy their own. I don't think I'd ever let anyone else borrow my bag or lend out any of my leather or designer bags!
Like my mascara, lipstick, toothbrush, BF, those are mine and that's the end of it. I do feel a bit greedy and mean sometimes but my bags are holy ground.

I have only ever been asked once, by my sister. She said seeing as you are using your good bag this evening can I use your day one? I said ok and I got it back filthy with eyeliner marks and cigarette ash/tobacco in it. Suffice to say I would not lend a bag to anyone except my Mum who isn't interested in them :p

I only share with Mom if she is interested, but more often than not she isn't because I'm very meticulous about my belongings and she respects that.

My friends are too hesitant to carry expensive bags so they admire it but won't ask, though I've offered to a close few.

I don't share my bags with anyone. No one has asked to borrow them and I would have to say no. I used to have a friend who borrowed my shoes and clothes and either lost things or gave them back broken. I personally wouldn't want to borrow anyone else's bag either.

Love the "I don't share well" line -- it takes it off of the other person (who may lobby harder with things like, Why not? I'll be careful, etc., and puts it directly on you. I'll have to borrow that one in the future! :p

I am the same. I love my sister, but on this subject, it's a good thing she lives far away because she is very careless with her own things and would not hesitate to ask to borrow mine. She doesn't smoke, but whatever she borrowed from me would come back spilled on, ripped, snagged or damaged somehow.

The ONLY person I'd loan to in a heartbeat is my Mom. She'd be so careful! But she also lives far away and doesn't really care about bags.
