Diamond pendant too much for everyday wear?

I wear a Heidi Klum pave clover leaf,I think its got about 1.50....or 1.56 tdw? I wear it all the time,and on a cord so its not so dressy that I can put it with jeans etc,but its pretty enough on the cord to dress it right up.
I guess it depends on what you consider 'too much' to wear on a daily basis and wether what you pick you can feel ok wearing all the time?
I have seen ladies TOTALLY rocking whopping solitaires with casual stuff,I think it depends on your personal style and taste?

That is me too ! I wear a swarovski solitaire for this very reason. I only wear my valuable jewlery on my fingers ! Anyway I think a solitaire pendant is nice for every day.To tell you the truth, I would be afraid of a pendant chain being broken, and losing the diamond - I would always rather a ring. But that is just paranoid me
These are diamond pendants I rotate and wear daily. I've gotten used to incorporating them into my regular wardrobe. (Sorry, a couple of the pics are a little blurry.)
Roberto Coin leaf pendant. With simple white gold hoops, it looks lovely as a day time piece even on a slim white tee. I think it's the fact that it has a lot of open space and is something from nature.
Campise moon necklace. Works great even with casual clothes. The design gives it a mod edge so it's best with that kind of look. Yes there's flash, but the design is simple and elegant. Milgrain work is subtle.
Cathy Carmendy floral pendant. This one just makes it for day time wear. It can look amazing with jeans and a slim tee. It helps that the center diamond is brown instead of white, the shape is organic and that there is a rough hewn hand texture.
Vendorafa diamond dangles on Stephen Webster chain. Bright and sparkly but simple and clean. Go with almost everything. The texture of the chain helps keep a day time look.

not at all. I wear some kind of diamond pendant necklace nearly every day. hearts, crosses, solitaires, bezel around a coin, etc.
I think you can wear anything together...fancy jewelry with casual clothes, simple jewelry with fancy clothes. you make your own style.

I agree, a big medallion might be out of order, but...
I never hesitate to wear any of my solitaires. I obviously don't have a 10ct diamond, but if I did, I would wear it all the time.
