Diamond Markers or Roman Numerals?

Have you considered the new 31mm ones with the scattered diamond bezels and the diamond-set enlarged VI? Stunning. Just a pop of diamonds on the dial, plus Romans.

About the Romans, I love them and am actually pleased with the IIII. I read once that it makes the dial more balanced, in symmetry with the VIII opposite it. Works for me. And yes, it's a very old tradition.

Oh and for the contrarian point of view, I do think you can have too much bling on a Rolex.

*shrug*, it's all personal preference. Some people like blingy and gaudy, some don't. I personally don't think diamond bezel + diamond markers are too much, but if the OP and others think so, then they don't have to get it!

Sure. What I mean is that in my judgment, Rolex historically has been conservative in design, not a blingy brand. The DNA is simplicity. Obviously, customers vary in their wishes, and the options are all there.

I think this is a matter of personal taste. I prefer an uncluttered dial (I won't ever have a chronograph for that reason) but I do like having at least a marker at every hour point.

on watches, i usually like diamond markers and diamond bezel. just looks really nice. the roman numerals would be great with a plain bezel. very modern look. i've always thought the diamond markers on rolex weren't that great looking though. their roman numerals look nice.

Confused again! You say definitely diamond bezel. So are you considering diamond markers with the diamond bezel? I think that is too much personally. I would do diamond bezel and roman numerals OR plain bezel and diamond markers - JMO!

Agreed. LOVE roman numerals, but I always feel my watch like that is almost masculine. I think with the diamond bezel it would be amazing. My second choice would be plain bezel with diamond markers as I like that look as well.
