prices went up today on rappaport today. Some increases over 6%. Some of the increases i've been experiencing on the manufacturing side for a while now but will now finally be reflected somewhat on the retail end. Hopefully it falls in line with what we're paying for rough so the increase doesn't seem as crazy as it is on the wholesale side.

I am so glad that I made so many jewelry purchases in the last 2 years! I could never do it now. I wonder if Rolexes and Chanel j12s are going up too.

Everything is going up except our payroll. So is Diamond, that is why Diamond are considered "New Age Investment". The price that gold & other raw metals are escalating so are gemstones especially Premium Quality Ones. Well no matter what it is a "WANT" not a "NEED", people who "WANT" it will still buy no matter the price.

Luxury goods are always in great demand, don't forget Asia has no economic crisis the way EU or US has it. The world markets are ready to support the increase.

I 'm happy I did my big purchases while the prices were "low". Lats see how it goes from now on.

That sucks!!! I was planning on an ering upgrade thisi year. Hopefully we can still do it. We were waiting to hit the 5 year point and really didn't think it would be right to do it any sooner. (We should have though.)
