Diamond Bracelet or Diamond Bangle?

I just adore Ippolita diamond bangles, but her prices are insane as are tiffany's prices. If you look around, you'll find what you're looking for for a fraction of the price with the same or better quality diamonds.

As Swanky said, bangles aren't going to be comfortable and will, no doubt, get in the way and get knocked around. I think tennis bracelets are timeless and are a great way to start out.

I am also on a quest to adorn my wrist with some bling bling. And I've also considered the Tiffany Metro bangle. Unfortunately it was too big for my wrist. I think you have to try on the bangle for yourself. If you have small wrists, you might want to get it custom made to your size. I'm thinking of doing that but then again I'd like to have a tennis bracelet too. Decisions, decisions....

I love ippolita bangles. I have 5 of them in gold and 2 in silver. I do not have the diamond one yet, lol. I have the gemstones, but they are my perfect bangles. I adore them and love to stack them. They are out rageously expensive I know, but sooooooo gorgeous. Tennis bracelets are always a classic look. I prefer bangles though. I love to clink and clank them together.

Yup, my wrists are small and I am afraid I will fall in love with whatever I buy and never take it off..lol, so I should also consider everyday wear and tear .

Naila - Indian dresses - probably once or twice a year. Since moving to Phoenix from NJ no ocaasions to wear the outfits at all..

I think I will go into a store and try the tennnis bracelets. I have tried the bangles on but never bracelets.

I have small wrists and avoided bangles for years until my jeweler convinced me to try one on that fit. Made all the difference.

I agree love the look of bangles, but I think the tennis type would be more comfortable and hold up long term.

I hope this isn't OTT but I've heard the stones used in a tennis bracelet aren't usually the same quality as found in say a ring. What would be the ideal minimum clarity and carat size for a tennis bracelet? I know everyone is different..but would an SI3/I1 tennis bracelet still look sparkly or would it be too cloudy? Better to hang out for a higher clarity? Is it better to go for fewer carats but better clarity? TIA for your opinions.

I agree with those tpf-ers, who are in favour of the tennis bracelets, I do love mine and its so comfortable, comparing to the bangles.

I've been wearing it almost everyday since I got it in the last July.

The Tiffany is very pretty but I prefer Cartier Love Collection bangles for me.

ITA! In my heart there is only one bangle at the top of the list and it is Cartier Love Collection Bangles. The Tiffany's bangle is lovely however I think there is nothing very special about that design and you could get that design somewhere else for much less. To me the bangle looks much more modern and a new classic over the tennis bracelet.
