I personally prefer buying a bag in Europe and saving from the VAT tax over buying used secondhand. I have a vintage lamb skin classic flap (bought secondhand years ago), regular caviar classic flap, caviar woc (bought in nyc) and caviar medium boy bag (Europe). The bags super cheap are normally too good to be true and with superfakes I no longer risk secondhand. I had a ysl bag authenticated here and online through photos. I was told it was authentic but found out 3 years later it was a good fake. i don’t think it’s worth paying even $2000 for the possibility of a fake bag. I saved $1400 buying the boy bag in Paris, it still cost $5300 but better than $6700 In Canada.
my most used and most versatile bag is the woc. I use it for special occasions, weddings, dinners. It’s a great casual mall bag, errand bag or mommy bag. I have a large diaper bag and throw the woc on or inside my bag. Also great for traveling! The secret compartment fits passports and cash and its thin enough I can wear the bag under my open jacket. I’m never worried about being pickpocketed. I prefer it over the mini, classic flap and boy bag. It really depends on your lifestyle, what you need to carry and the way you like to dress. 5 years ago I was always dressed up and now I’m always casual in runners and still use my woc most. I do wish it was slightly bigger but if I make use of the compartments it fits what I need
