Aye, price boom all around... Time to switch to buying LV stocks instead - and get their bags as nice dividend payoffs, methinks :p

Preloved is the most sensible way now...

Hahaha I like the way you think!

I think the mods here are gonna get a lot more authenticate this bag posts in the future if LV keeps this up.

I'm done with LV for a while. The price increase just isn't worth it. I bought a mono NF earlier this year and I'm glad I did. I can't imagine how unnecessarily expensive it would be if I had waited. I was thinking about snagging a Lumi but they've discontinued it! The Bastille is ok, but not worth the price point, to me. Looks like I'm going to have to make myself buy pre loved. Ugh, this will be hard.

Wow, 40 bags !
On the subject of prices, it's insane. I hope I would not have the feeling of having to have one.. I remember when WOC was $1500 and Chanel flap was below $4000. And the Trevi, it was around $1800 when I got it for Mothers Day.

My WOC was only $1100 - lol! It was my second Chanel piece and I had no idea. I had a bunch of In circle gift cards from the jumbo purchased 2 months before. I just wanted the "cheapest bag." I thought it was a silly little thing and really did not want it! Glad I was a cheapo back in 2011 because there is no way I would pay the WOC prices now!

The prices of bags have forced me to be content. I am content but I also have a hard time dropping the money on things that went up so much, knowing what they cost in the past. I wish I had the foresight to buy every flap I could get my hands on!

Same here, I am soo content;) right now. I can't even "claim it in taxes" because I don't use it for work.:p But it does not stop me from "looking":giggles:
My only regret, I did not start buying years ago but I was in a different "set of mind."

I totally hear you.

I am flabbergasted that even "mini" bags are at $2900 (Chanel, Celine nano, Fendi, Dior). Really?! 3k for a small bag?! I went on a bit of a Chanel buying frenzy last year / this year before the price increase and glad I did because I don't think I want to dish out 4k or more for a bag. That being said, I still WANT expensive bags but I don't think it makes sense to keep buying them. I am now looking at bags under 2k. I will have to force myself to be content with what I have or buy less expensive bags. So sad :(

LOL! I've thought about doing the same thing. If I'm going to be spending my money on bags and luxury goods, why not earn some of it back?

In terms of investing, I wish I'd invested more in bags when I was younger honestly. I bought what I truly loved and still have them, but I think about the prices of things back then and see them selling for substantially more than that now used. Classic LV pieces, Chanel flaps, etc.
