I have had a chargeback filed against me from this man he asked me to send to an address in Georgia under the name Dismas Matheka, I thought this was OK as I was sending fully insured with a tracking number, 5 weeks later after no contact he files a dispute with paypal. I check the tracking number delivered and signed for on the 10th July, he is saying he never asked me to send there and that is not his name, I requested his contact details from ebay they are now Inna Gorelik and then when I looked on the order details on the auction page it is now CATHERINE Retko
eBay do not keep end of auction emails and neither did I, any advice please? Thank you!

Yes.....and thankyou for the heads up!!!! with the way Ebay favors the buyers, we as sellers, have to protect ourselves by being vigilant and warning of any scams/high risk buyers......
thanks again......

You definitely don't have copies of the emails where he asked you to send to the other address? Can you contact the email provider (ie Hotmail or Yahoo etc) to ask if they can get you a copy?

Can you do that? I didn't know you could with Yahoo? Thank you!

Can I just ask, it seems that you can change your name and address as many times as you like on ebay? I believe that when you look at the order details again after the sale it automatically updates with the new address?

What I can't understand is how Paypal and eBay are still allowing him to sell, didn't he threaten someone with bodily harm?
He is now saying lebricolage AKA Vito Borker, is a friend they have the same registered address
I just don't know what to do

Update: apparently what they are now doing is selling items on their site that they do not have, buying them cheaper on eBay and getting the seller to drop ship them direct to the customer, then filing a dispute with Paypal to say the seller on eBay has sent them to the incorrect address BEWARE!

If they pay with PayPal, NEVER send to an unconfirmed address as you will not be covered under seller protection. I assume the person you dropshipped it to was not a confirmed address.

Are you able to get your money back from Paypal?
What address was on the Paypal invoice, his or HIS buyer's?
So if it was his he then asked you in email to send it to another address?
If that is the case Paypal will side with him because he can still say the email account was hijacked as well.

WOW!!! Holy smokes, people do stuff like this?! Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to ward off these baddies!

I'm still stunned that they get away with this! I guess yet another reason to tell people "no, I will not fulfill your weird requests."

I was ripped off my this guy too - although he was going by "Tony" or "Anthony". I thought I purchased from a legit website (it looks real!) - box came badly damaged with scratched glasses wrapped in a plastic bag. No case and no chain. They're a discontinued item and I found a pair on ebay, but I'm scared to buy now in case it's the same guy.

Can someone tell me if he sells on ebay too and if so what his I.D. is? I can't get ripped off by this guy TWICE. So upset.

I'm the latest victim of this scammer. I purchased a pair of Ralph Lauren glasses. I received a badly damaged box today and inside was a pair of glasses (they look fake to me though) with a SCRATCH on them. Plus NO case and NO chain. It looked like a legit website and I paid by PP (thank god he doesn't have my CC info!) BUT when I filed my dispute with PP they said they can't do anything for me since it wasn't an ebay transaction. Here I was trying to be good by paying "cash" for the glasses (checking account linked PP - instead of CC) but I'm getting punished for it. PayPal said they can't do anything (off ebay) so I'm out 160.00.

lesson one: NEVER buy from decormyeyes ever again and

lesson two: NEVER pay for an item with PayPal if it's off ebay because you are NOT covered AT ALL.

So sorry this happened to you, Beauxgoris. This is thread from 2008 and this guy is still out there scamming people??? Unbelievable. Someone should make a list of all his ebay id's and fake names and info and post it here in one place. Or maybe you should start a new thread?.
