Hi all,
This is my first post on TPF although I’ve been an avid reader for years. I just purchased this Chanel Mini Caviar today. I saw it on site and amazingly they had one in store. I haven’t purchased Chanel in some time and noticed some marked differences from my medium and jumbo caviar flaps and would love some feedback.
First, the leather is quite shiny. Is this the new norm? Second, I noticed that the structure of the bag is very soft and not as firm as my classics. It is also much more lightweight. I noticed a bit of lack of puffiness in the lowers diamonds as well. Can anyone share durability of your mini flaps? I just want to make sure I won’t have to contend with warping and structure wear.

Congrats. I bought exact bag in black too and waiting for delivery. Regular mini bags are lambskin and this 23C bag is caviar. It will have better wear and tear. I tried yellow color in store and ordered black to be delivered.

I saw this one too but ended up getting the Boy in traditional black caviar. I read that there are different types of caviar and I think this one from the latest collection has a soft caviar which means its less durable than the traditional caviar but more than the calfskin or lambskin.
I’ve been coveting this since I saw it on the runway. My SA wasn’t able to get it initially, so when @nat74 posted it, I jumped on it! Then it arrived in my home boutique the next day. I… didn’t realize it was so small; I have an iPhone mini and it doesn’t even fit. Plus it’s canvas, not leather. Is this stupid? I’m having some buyer’s remorse. The style is so cute and quirky, but I’m not a tennis buff. Any sane advice is appreciated.
Some of you may have seen the white camera bag I got last month— I also had buyer’s remorse, and when I saw this round bag, I was like, damn! I’d much rather have that one. Luckily I was able to exchange it. Much happier with this. I was ambivalent about the handle, but everyone here seems to rave about top handles!

One of the things that bothered me about the white camera bag that I returned is that the attachment pt for the strap is in the middle on the sides, and the bag tips on an axis. This style solves that problem!! Also, the zipper is in the front, not the middle of the top, which provides easier access to the contents, similar to the round bag.
This jacket was a sleeper. My SA pulled it in my size (I’m a 42/44, so often slim pickings). It was pleasantly flattering, as I am very dumpy. I love the buttons, and also the velvet. I am a child of the 80’s, and it reminds me of the holiday dresses my mom made me wear back then, in a good way. The matching pants, however, are pleated and the leg opening the size of texas.
Who posted these shoes?? I’ve been searching but couldn’t find the post. Anyway, she was right, they are absolutely fabulous. I didn’t think much of them, but when I tried them on in the store, everyone was like, yes!! Even my husband, who has a very strong disdain for my Chanel habit, grudgingly admitted they were a good choice.

Congratulations.. this is a seasonal bag. Caviar is pretty durable so must be fine by time…

The tennis racquet bag is the racquet a mirror? Most mirrors are compact part of a makeup kit to me a handheld mirror is something you would have at home in your bathroom or bedroom.
Wow, I like your perspective!! There are women in the world who can whip out a lipstick and apply without a mirror— I am not one of them. I didn’t even think about actually using the mirror.
Now I’m even more ambivalent. Am I realistically going to start reapplying lip color in public? But only when I am wearing this bag?
