absolutely NOTHING alike. Dancing in the Sheets is a blue/purple duochrome like colour. when you look one way its clearly purple, look the other way its obviously blue. i will go run and swatch them side by side. though its impossible to see on a screen the awesomness of DITS. my possibly most favorite lippmann ever now.

^ Why did you have to say that? Now I'm going to want DITS. I wish they sold them separately.

How's the application on LHIFTB?

^ I wanted GGGB, but RD looks prettier here.

^^Thanks for those swatches Bluejinx. Which one do you prefer: Razzle Dazzle or Good Girls Gone bad? Are they different enough on the nail to warrant both? RD looks more berry-like, while GGGB seems to have more pink, correct?

for me its good girl gone bad. but i dont like pink and i love purple. razzle dazzle is more fuchsia where as gggb is more purple.

as for dior tuxedo vs dits, dits is more like illamasqua baptiste base colour with intense dior tuxedo coloured shimmer. its hard to see in the bottle, but it only took about ten shots to get a colour accurate picture of the difference swatched!

i really wish i could talk you out of it, but application was wonderful. opaque in two coats, smooth and easy to apply. i dont normally do pastels, and find them harder to apply which also stops my purchasing them. honestly, if they were not sold together i would have skipped it. im glad i didnt. and i really need more pastels like this in my stash. i like good girls gone bad better, BUT, its more PURPLE PURPLE and razzle dazzle is more like FUCHSIA PURPLE. so its whether you like your purple to lean blue or lean pink

Thanks again for the comparison! They were really helpful. Now I have some tough decisions to make... especially with Christmas shopping coming up my wallet is screaming! I think I might go with Razzle Dazzle, I think I like pink more than purple in general.

I just went to the Barneys website to look at 'Dark Fantasy', 'Money Now Sleep Later' and 'The Future is Yours' ~ and it seems that they're not available...

Have they sold out already?!

^ I was afraid of that. I need to stay on ban. Hopefully it'll still be around when my ban is lifted.

Lippmann Lady Sings the Blues (2 coats) over American Apparel Peacock (1 coat.) The LStB base is quite deep, but I did want my entire nail to be covered, and didn't want to up it to three coats. With the AA base though, I find some of the smaller blue glitters don't seem to show up as well as they did when I used NYC East Side Village (which is my base under OPI Absolutely Alice) instead.

And I need to Q-tip my nail beds. :p
