Great it actually came through, initially everyone was saying the payout for each consumers are about $10 or less. I filed nonetheless, but I moved in 2009, so I don't think the check will find me.

You could contact the Claim Administrator and update your address with them. I bet it wouldn't be too much work. Lots of people had to have moved since they originally filed.

No matter what, the money still belongs to you. If the check is never cashed (and is returned by the post office) eventually they will send the money to the Unclaimed Property Department of the state government of your last known address. Then you have to file a claim, prove who you are, etc. For small amounts, it's not that much work. For larger amounts, they'll want more proof of your identity.

Banks and utility companies and other places where you may have had deposits (or refunds owed to you) also by law have to hand over this money to the Unclaimed Property bureaus of the various state governments after a certain number of years. All of this is online now too, so you can do a quick search using your name in the state you live in (or used to live in). I recently helped some relatives do this and they're going to get back about $200.
