Deauville Tote in Medium or Large?

I am your same height and I am waiting to get the new small size with the handles. It is not quite as tall as the small size, but a bit wider. The large is pretty big. I have not seen the medium…maybe it‘s the same one I am referring to. The tag does say small though. I hope that helps.
The large felt like a suitcase to me. I'm 5'1" and a little chubby, and I like big bags, especially totes. The Large Deauville felt HUGE to carry. I sold it and got a Small (the previous version of the Small without the short leather handles) and it feels perfect. For size reference, the Samorga I use in my Neverfull MM fits inside my Small Deauville, albeit a bit snug, but it works perfectly.
do you know what colors it comes in? I’ve seen the beige one with white lettering and also a grayish one with cream handles. And supposedly theres a blue one that the sa mentioned but did not have (no idea if it’s dark or light blue) was hoping for black!

I just picked up the new small size with handles. Mine has black handles, beige fabric and black lettering GHW. It is a perfect size for everyday. It is not as tall as the other small size without the handles. Mine is 13.5” wide, 9” high and about 5.5” deep. I hope this helps.
This makes a third color way not seen on the website! Gah!! Your bag is SO lovely though!! The black handles is a nice pop of color
Do you have a picture of the large one? I got the small one today but would also like a bigger one when I have more things.
I don't have any mod shots of the large, as I sold it pretty quickly, nor do I have a photo of the Large and Small side by side, sadly. But here is the Dark Turquoise, which is the "old" small size without the leather handles, and the Large red, photographed in the same spot with Pooh for reference.
Both are from 19A. Hopefully that gives you an idea of the size difference. I think the main thing was that the sides on the Large didn't stand up straight - they bowed out, so it seemed even wider. The Small size retains its shape much better, and for me, is the perfect size to carry comfortably.Which color did you get? We need a photo!

I don't find the small too small at all, and I am a big bag gal. Like I said, the organizer that was made for my LV Neverfull MM fits nicely into the Small Deauville, so it's perfect for me.
Here’s a side by side comparison of my deauvilles in case it’s helpful. The small size on the right is similar to a neverfull and perfect for daily use (IMO). The one on the left is the large size and perfect for travel or daytime use if I need to carry a bunch of stuff or anything on the bulkier side. I think the large deauville is somewhat comparable to the GM onthego (at least in terms of general size and how much it holds).

I found a photo on Momoland’s Instagram comparing the two sizes. The large looks so much bigger!
I’m a tote person, especially the deauville. Here is my large pink and the current 22s small in beige/black
I have and will keep both for different uses. The large is great for traveling with a lot of capacity. The new small is a great almost daily bag, with the added benefit of handles. Previously, I wanted something smaller than the large but held back because I really wanted handles. Now that this 22s model is out, it’s the best of both worlds with the great addition of a pouch too. This model is great for those who are more petite but it all matters what you want it for. I just got both anyway
