Dates for H Paris Sale in January?

sorry for the naive questions, but - as I mentioned on another thread, I have to plan a trip to Paris and I can choose the date -- should I wait for the sale in Jan, or is it so similar to NY's sale that going to FSH just before Christmas is a better choice because they will be stocked with goodies - or- is the Paris sale simply TDF??

and lastly, if I do go to the sale, is there an invitation only day?

TIA for all the advice!!

hello hermeshunter.
I think it depends on what you are after.
I have been to the sale in both Paris and London and the one in Paris was far far better than the one in London. But I have never been to the one in NY so can't compare.

But if you are looking for SLG, Ready-to-wear, scarves, gloves, shoes, small accessories, belts and even little "H-starter" handbags, then it is worth going. But the stock varies and obviously if you are looking for something particular, then the sale wouldn't suit your needs. In my case, I didn't have anything particular in mind but was just looking for some nice gloves, small accessories, so scored very nice things and was incredibly satisfied.

Obviously, if you are just after a bag like kelly or birkin, then there is no point because they wouldn't show up there.

I personally loved the sale in Paris, but I also love visiting Paris in December. :tender:

Hope it helps.;)

No invite needed! There are now a couple of Paris sale threads that have been started--so check both for information.

I am arranging two first-day events. Who knows--there may be more!

So far we have a few people interested in a get-together for tea at Laduree around 4pm on Wednesday to share our sale tales and peek at our goodies. Some of us are also interested in a dinner that night. I will be arranging both and keeping names--so all members who are coming should send me a pm or make a post here. In the next day or two I will get it all together.

You will not need to stand outside in the cold. The site is a huge place--rather like a big mall. The outer doors open sometime in the early morning--I can't remember if it was 6 or 7 am last time. After that, you follow the Hermes signs and wait indoors.

Take care!

^^Thanks so much for the info Perigord! I'll be at the Palais de congres for a seminar on Friday, but will be arriving on Thursday afternoon...Sorry will be missing your get together, I love hot chocolate at Ladurees...

Lucky you--you can sneak out and shop.

If anyone decides on a second Laduree meet, would you be interested? You can pm me. Things may evolve as the week goes on.
