Dark denim lovers, what bags do you wear?

I wear a lot of darker-wash jeans, but there are some bags I just won't wear when I wear jeans because I'm so paranoid about color transfer. I usually wind up just choosing a cheaper bag (especially if I want a crossbody!) or being reaaaallllly careful with a nicer bag. Is there anyone who's got this figured out?

I feel exactly the same as you! I got a beautiful burberry Prorsum bag in light grey and it got colour transfer on its first day out! I was so upset and although the wet wipes helped removed most of it, you can still see some light stains in certain angles.
But I got a new trick, to hang a scarf on the handle....you know twilly is so in now..... so I choose a scarf big enough to serve as a barrier between my butt and bag. It works. Just make sure the scarf stays in place as you walk.... *stressed*. Or just get a darker bag.... haiz. ..... 😧

I always coat my bags with leather protector, so that if they do get colour transfer, they're much easier to clean.

I heard that someone applied leather protector/conditioner, and ends up with the bag smelling very strong or chemical.... can I ask if you experience this? I am very sensitive to smell and would hate fake plasticky chemical smell.

This is the kit I use https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Leather_Handbag_Care_Kit.php - the protection cream provides a barrier, so any water on the leather will just sit on the surface and wipes right off.

The cream is scented, but it isn't bad IMO, and fades away very quickly.

I get denim transfer on my gold Birkin a lot, and I take it off at end of day with Lexol wipes. I think on finished leathers (not raw) you can remove the marks if they are not left long.
That said, I try to wear very dark bags with very dark denim that hasn't seen much washing.

With satchels that can get contact with dark denim.. i stick to dark colors, currently is a very thick, chewy navy pebbled leather... nothing is going to mark this one up.

Also i try to avoid jeans that say cautionary tales of transfer those i find are extreme and could transfer to other things beyond bags.
