I have an DE and even recently have received comments on how new it looks. I bought it about 8 years ago--before it came with the inside pochette. It's been a great bag for everyday use.

My DE MM is from 2011 (I am pretty sure it is 2011). I am not easy on it. It was my workhorse until I retired at the end of 2013. When not in use it is tossed in my closet. I took it to the dentist the other day, and the hygienist asked if it is new.
I just love it, but I am considering a Monogram GM.

I have the Neverfull in all 3 canvases and my suggestion is to absolutely go with the DE - not because it's my favorite canvas but because it wears so, so much better. I've retired my Monogram due to the terrible state of the vachetta, and will be doing so with the DA at the end of this season (although the DA is in much better shape as it's only used sporadically during summers). On the downside, I personally find the DE too dark for hot weather months.
