It's a great size...definitely not small! I tried the bigger one on and it looked huge on me. This is perfect!
I'm torn... this is the size of a legacy archival rambler, which I already have and like. But kind of small for everyday for me.
The large Dakotah is actually a little smaller in length than the Madison shoulder flap, which I love a lot.
I think I will just wait and see when the large arrives. There will be other sales/promos etc, and more small Dakotah colors too I bet, if I decide the large is too big for me.

I think you'll like this size more. The other one looked like it wore me, lol! You get the feather charm with this one too
It's so pretty! But I don't mind a "larger" bag. I love that feather charm but I hesitate to buy a bag just for a fob!! Especially a $500 bag.
I'm going to see how I like the large and if it doesn't work I can always return and await the next promo or more colors. Everyone does F&F in November anyway

Does this bag have the leash with the dog leash clip on it for keys like the larger one had? It looks like it might, but all the interior photos I have seen does not have it out.
