Daffodile Brodee - TDF or Gaudy???

I didn't want to mention it in the authentication thread but yeah that price is ridiculous and that seller goes way overboard with their markups.

Also, my vote for the shoe is a no. Compared to Bridget which is sexy stunning beauty, I do feel these are "gaudy". But I'm also not a fan of daffodile in general at all so I'm a bit biased. :p

Do you mean the Bonanza seller???

Yes I do much prefer the Bridget given the choice. Would be able to wear em even when I become an old biddy I think:p

Yep the Bonanza seller. Makes me so mad when I see people buying shoes that are in high demand (or when Outnet or someone is having a big CL sale) only to resell them at such a ridic markup.

I laughed about your old biddy comment but so true! :D

I have a pair of black kid daffs, but I think the longevity of that pair might be just for another few years at most considering my age.

The lady I saw in the daff brodee looked good, but definitely not classy. Her being with a much younger BF (15-20yrs younger at least) didn't help either.

I prefer to become an old biddy who ages gracefully with class, hehehe!!!

Your story makes the shoes even more gaudy in my mine now!

I agree. Here's to aging gracefully!

I am not a fan of the daffodil at all either, so I'm biased. But I think the height itself makes such a big statement, anything on top of that is just too much. It's too much of a statement shoe - it's gaudy.

I like them, just not sure how often i personally would wear them, but at that price I would try to wear them every chance I get lol ...

I personally would prefer to pay 1000 and get nude or black daffodiles instead.

Or well three of them

I would second that! If you are ever looking for something, I will keep an eye out for you!

The CLs over here do not ship overseas, but I will personally pick em up and post em to you if you ever really want something here and if you would feel comfortable trusting me.

Do you think the ebayer is also a reseller? Her starting bid is 2700, BIN 3000 for a 2495 retail shoe.

Ive sent her emails asking if she wld ship overseas, but yet to respond.

Thanks Helen that is so nice of you. No I don't think the ebay seller is a reseller, she just thinks her shoes are worth alot more than they are.

I am another voe of the no to the Daffs, they are a work of art and have always caught my eye but for that price you could get two od something you could wear alot more than the Daff brodees.

I agree these are trendy, but the more I look at em the more I like em.
Depending on the pairing, I think it wont be gaudy???
Wish they were going for a lower price!

I am really lost as to how those are "Trendy". What trend does it represent? I love them, but I personally wouldn't buy them for no more than maybe $1,500 because I know I wouldn't wear them much, but I also feel like they are actually easy to wear. A simple white t-shirt, cigarette jeans, maybe even a solid color blazer? Yes! Less is more with these shoes. If you truly love them, without any doubt, I say go for them! If you know you will question yourself afterwards, then don't even think about it. Good Luck :graucho:

I like them. Very edgy but classic at the same time. But I don't think I could spend the money of them. Everyone is different. You need to think if you're buying them because you fell in love with them, how often will you wear them vs the amount spent on them, etc. I don't think anyone should spend more than retail price for a pair of shoes.

I always say, sleep on it, if you dream about them, go for it. If not, they probably weren't meant for you anyways.

If you're asking me, I think they're gaudy to be honest. I don't care for them, and if I saw a woman in these shoes, I would not take a second look either. Give the shoes to me for free and I wouldn't be caught wearing them; instead I'll sell them off on Ebay LOL

Then again it's all about you, if you love them, that's all that matters.
