CZ by the yard...

After the ring dramz I just finished with, I decided any new jewelry would be CZ. So I got into the idea of a CZ by the yard necklace. Here are pics of the two I bought last week, one is from Eve's Addiction, the other QVC. Both are 18" chain. The price difference was about 10 dollars, the QVC was slightly pricier. I can't decide if I should keep one, both or neither. Help!

This first set is from Eve's Addiction. What I like about it is that the size of the stones is more "realistic". But the quality of CZ is not great, and the "bezel" is a joke.

I like the QVC necklace more than the other. I periodically buy Diamonique from QVC & have no problems with the quality.

If you already, somewhat, dislike the Eve's Addiction one, take it back. From the few posts I've read from you, you're a person that's hard to please, so why keep something you don't care for? Besides, in my honest opinion, the Eve's Addiction necklace looks cheap.

IMO the QVC one wins hands down. It looks like it's MUCH better made than the other one.

That's the issue for me with the QVC. The quality alone screams in favor of QVC. But I don't want it to LOOK fake. You'd have to see it in person I guess.

Lori said she would mail me her QVC one that she commented was "older" and I am curious to see them side by side actually. If her stones are smaller it might look more real.

I love Diamonique for the most part, the stepcuts and rounds anyway. But their realism sizewise has waned and it seems they're going bigger and nuttier with their items.

Supposedly they redesigned this by the yard to be two crown-style sides, versus a standard crown and pavilion cut CZ. I think people wanted the sparkle and couldn't deal with the flipping despite that kind of being the idea.

I guess I will be the lone dissenter and say that I like the Eve's addiction one better. But, this is mostly because I think the czs in the QVC one are just too big and don't mesh with the DBTY look that we normally see....

ETA: I would probably return both and keep looking. I have been able to find some nice (fake) DBTY necklaces at random stores-- first one at a shoe store and second one at a department store in their non-name brand sterling jewelry. No point in keeping either necklace if you're not in love with it.

It is nicely made, it doesn't look unrealistic to me, and I never have any issues w/ the Diamonique line. You might look at HSN's Absolute line to see if they have a by the yard or station necklace too. I couldn't bring myself to buy a diamond necklace in this style b/c of the price in comparison to the carat weight of a necklace I'd actually feel comfortable buying. It didn't seem worth it.
