CUTTING OUT THE LINING of a leather coach bag...

The lining of my hampton hobo ( beige color lining), was dirty, stained not sure what, I think might be sunscreen. I used ivory hand soap and a little water, didn't get it all wet just used my wet hand to kind of wipe the soap off. The lining dried, looks like new, no water marks, and I didn't get the whole lining wet just the botton of it.

Try a little soap and water on a wash cloth and gentle hand wash the stain and the surrounding areas...it should take out the tide water marks and clean up nicely.

Use hairspray to remove ink stains. If the lining is loose enough try pulling the lining out ( ie lining one way, purse the other) as see if you can handwash the lining. Spot treat first than wash the entire lining

Baby wipes do wonders :D
maybe when i get home tonight i can snap some pics -- its just very DIRTY looking in real life (not sure it will show in pics) and i've tried the Tide stick but that didn't work and i know i'm going to be using the DAYLIGHTS out of this bag so its only going to get more beat up :)

thanks!

PS. i do love the striped lining -- its pretty :)

PPS. its mainly the lining on the large flap that you see when you open the bag -- i don't mind the inside part because its full of all my stuff -- but when you lift up the large flap and flip it open on the counter everyone sees the striped lining on the open flap part -- so thats the part i was thinking of cutting out :)

I don't think I would cut the lining out. Even though older Coach bags were unlined, they were designed and produced with that in mind, so the interior looked good. I am not sure you would necessarily get that same look of just the clean leather underside if you were to cut the lining out of this bag, KWIM?
