It's obvious in the first picture that it's not the same length on both sides, even if you were using the 16" as the base of centering. They should fix this, it shouldn't be a difficult fix, and if they make a fuss, I wouldn't trust them with any other work. Great jewelers are almost as rare and precious as the gems we trust them with.

The gemologist/sales woman has offered to fix it! So happy this wasn’t a difficult process.
