Curated ears a la Maria Tash

I dislike Maria Tash products although I do have three pieces (a diamond star garland, a diamond Sabrina, and a rose gold hoop) - they're overpriced and the backings are so complicated it's hard to change out pieces. My local piercer carries a bunch of brands that include gold, diamonds, and other precious stones, so I use those in specialized areas like my helix, daith, and anti-tragus piercings. In my lobes I use any jewelry brand (right now I like White/Space and Kimai).

BVLA is my favorite Maria Tash alternative! Agree that MT is overpriced though I’ve yet to find an alternative to their invisible set diamonds. Most of my jewelry is BVLA, solid gold and authentic stones:View attachment 5399755
Industrial Strength, Invictus, Metal Mafia are body jewelry brands that use titanium and surgical grade stainless steel. If you want gold, check out BVLA and Buddha Jewelry.

There are also a ton of sellers on Etsy now. Search “labrets” for flat-back studs.
Totally agree on BVLA and on Etsy....I have bought some nice pieces from Etsy sellers by relying on the reviews and the review photos.
Jacquie Aiche, not specifically an "alt" or cartilage jeweler, makes some nice small hoops suitable for helix etc. - I have one in my anti-tragus that gets a ton of compliments.

I agree with you regarding Maria Tash earrings - expensive, fiddly and in my experience they break too. Very pretty, but for me a big disappointment and a waste of money.

Another vendor to consider, especially for those in Canada and those that are ok with silver/plated/demi-fine is Melanie Auld. She has a nice selection of small hoops, dainty studs (with traditional butterfly backs so not comfy for sleeping), chains, charms, and cuffs.

The pearl hoops in my first hole, the pear cz dangle, and dangling chain are from her.

Maria Tash remains my favorite for aesthetics/quality. Some other alternatives I love are BVLA, Junipurr, Mushroom Body Jewlery, and Porter Lyons. All use the highest quality materials and offer great service in my experience:flowers:

I just discovered Djula and hope to try some pieces. They have a similar vibe as MT.

I picked up quite a few things from Maria Tash the last two months. Unfortunately, it turned out a huge disappointment and waste of money. Their diamond hoops keep opening, therefore one of the charms that was on a hoop went down my shower drain, and finally I have two diamond hoops that do not close and need to go back for repair. I repeat, in under two months of daily wear. - I love her designs, but what’s the point if they are not secure.

Stone Paris is my recommendation.
Refined but edgy.
More expensive than Maria Tash but none of my pieces have broken, so that’s a big plus.
I have a Stone Paris piece! I like it, and the backing is much easier to put on than Tash.

This is what happened to me too - I forgot that I also have Tash diamond hoops that are unusable because the clicker part will not close (and I didn't even wear them daily - they broke within 1-2 wears). It's too bad because the pieces are all pretty, but the quality is not there.

I have Jacquie Aiche pieces that I love and they seem well made - one is an anti-tragus small hoop and one is a pave hoop that I switch between lobe and helix.

I also like Metal Hammer on Etsy for more basic designs.

Im a Huge Maria Tash fan. I finally finished my curated ears this weekend. I upgraded my Tasha rook piercing to 6mm lotus stud on left ear and got Tragus piercing on my right ear. I looked at other brands but no one seemed to have nice diamond pieces. I’m in total love my ear stacks

Gorgeous! Totally agree Maria Tash has the best diamond styles, especially larger stones! No one makes anything as lux. One day I’d love to get the invisible set diamond daith hoop.

Yes her diamond pieces are quality stones and that’s what I love about them. I love love this piece. I was going to get this in the climber version for my tasha rook but went with lotus as had more visual impact.
