If 3 inches is about 8 cm, sounds like a loose fit. I personally prefer it to go as much as 5 cm and tops 2 cm up from my watch on my left arm... i dont know if this helps you..

and i think this happens mostly because the cuff is wider horizontally and shorter vertically. I think cartier should have desinged the cuff rounder :) just my opion ...

My SA emailed me this morning and is putting the size 16 to the side for me. I am going to go in either today or tomorrow. Just knowing I can go in and try it makes me feel better.
I'll update when I make my final decision. :smile1:

If it makes you feel better, I've the cuff in 17 as well and the fit looks pretty much like your photos. I've never had trouble with it falling off - yes sometimes it shifts slightly off centre while I type but it doesn't come off.

I tried both the 16 and 17 and can fit both. In fact I nearly went for the 16 but found the looser fit of a size 17 more flattering. I do believe other cuff owners find theirs quite secure too.

Update ~ I exchanged the 17 for the 16. It is a tighter fit but I feel more secure with it. I guess it's just a personal preference thing. I feel so much better now. I think when I tried on the 16 last time I was put off by the tightness getting it on so I figured the 17 was better. The 16 doesn't move around a lot on its own, but I can move it to where I want it to go. Today is also a warmer day so when it's freezing cold it may move around a bit, which is fine. I don't think it will be too tight in the heat either, as I do have some room.
I feel like I was so excited to get it that I didn't spend the time really trying them out. Luckily, I was able to go back to the store and everything worked out!
I brought my husband with me this time and when he saw the 16 on he immediately said the 16 was the way to go. My SA (who is awesome) also said the 16 and another SA suggested the 16 as well. I feel SO SO SO much better. I am now wearing it and it feels secure.

Thank you all for all your help!! When I get a chance I will post a pic of the 16 for reference.

My Love problems seem to never end ~
I am going back to the store today or tomorrow to try on a full bracelet. After wearing the cuff, it's a bit uncomfortable. Size 16 is definitely my size, but it is a snug fit (which I'm told is how the cuff should fit). I have other cuffs (not cartier) and they fit similar. But because I want to wear this everyday I want something very comfortable.
My SA is going to let me try on the actual bracelet ~ when I went in before I only tried on the sizer. I am a definite 16 in the bracelet. I just don't know if I can have something on me all the time. That's why I went with the cuff to begin with (the price difference was a bonus as well).
I just want to Love it and right now I'm making myself (and my Husband) crazy.
I'll update when I decide (again) :smile1:

I imagine that you are feeling that the cuff in 16 is not a good fit either.. like i was saying before the cuff is more one the oval side and not as round as the bracelet. If you want something well round you should go for the bracelet.

I guess from a circumfrance point of view they are the same, but the cuff is wider horizontally and shorter vertically... (if you cut a piece of paper in 16 cm and fit it inside the cuff you can know for sure and if someone can do the same for a 16 bracelet you can know for sure the diff between the two. Unfortunatelly i only have the 17 cuff and waiting for the 16 cuff to arrive..)

I have similar thing with you being cuff 17 nearly pop out from my wrist and 16 is just a pain to get into my wrist as I was trying the cuff. In the end I decided to go with the bracelet and couldn't be happier. I too thought of gettiing the cuff because of putting it on and taking it off would be easier as I was not a 24/7 jewellery girl. But now that I have the bracelet I can't inagine my wrist without it and feels naked without it. Yes the price diffrence is a bonus but great satisfaction is priceless. If I were a doctor or where my work would require me not to wear jewelry then the cuff would be better but fortunately my work doesnt require me to take off my jewelry so it makes it easier to make the decision to go with the bracelet. Hope you will resolve your issue with this and start enjoying your LOVE! :)

What size bracelet did you go with? Last night I went to the store and tried on the size 16 bracelet and it fit but I just don't know that I can wear it all the time. I was thinking maybe of trying the 17 but everyone said I would hate it flopping around on my wrist. I left with my cuff (not exchanging). I am more sure of the cuff now but still not 100%. My SA told me to wear it and decide in a week or so.
And to think I thought picking pink or yellow was the hard part ( I went with yellow with no regrets). :smile1:

Well I got size 17 but it didn't sit well and exchanged it for 16 and it's so much better. I like it loose but the risk of banging and scratching it is more compared to snug fit. When I got the 16 I realised that the risk of banging it is minimised.

Does it stick at all with the heat (summer time, during exercise, etc)?
Now that I have been wearing the cuff (yesterday and today so far) I am liking it more. I just want to make sure I don't have any regrets.

While I was at the store both my husband and SA said I should stick with the cuff because of my lifestyle. I was shocked my SA would say that since the bracelet is more $, so I know she was telling the truth. It's just me thinking maybe I want the bracelet.

What size is your wrist? Mine is a 5.5 inch at it's smallest.

This is a size 16 that I had made tighter by the jeweler at Cartier. A little snug but it works for me since I don't wear everyday!
