Since my Hoxton pm is sad ( she post re quality issue) I’m trying to figure out what to replace her with. I LOVE the Pochette Metis but hearing about all the glazing issues makes me Leary .... so I’m looking at either a Croisette DE or an Alma B.B. DE. Any thoughts or advise, have them and hate/ love what about them?

I’ve always wanted a Hoxton...unfortunately didn’t have the money by the time they discontinued it. What kind of quality issues did you have? It would be good to know since I’ve been considering picking up pre-love.

So had the PM stressful bag I feel with the glazing issues so I can see your point there. Had to let that go. But I do in fact have the Alma BB and Croisette. Out of these two bags definitely the Alma BB hands down. The bags are pretty much the same size but the Alma BB has more depth which allows you to fit more. I will post comparison pictures below. I love my Croisette but would never consider buying another which is why I chose the Alma BB in DE. I have to say the handle standing straight up on the Croisette is a bit cumbersome so opening while wear can be a problem. I have also decided that having a bag with a flap is also an issue as I definitely find zippers much more at peace for me. With the Alma being so structured you can actually leave the bag unzipped for a period of time with out anything exposed or falling out. Also the feet on the Alma allows the bag to be set down without worries. The Croisette will sit straight up if packed properly but closing the clasp can be an issue if not filled enough. Both bags are really great bags and hold the essentials but I have to say the Alma BB is much more attractive in the DE or Epi. And also you will be surprised what you can put in the Alma BB which I like to call little but mighty. The only thing I wished they had done with the Alma BB was make the strap a little wider like the strap on the Croisette and adjustable but that can be solved with replacement straps. Both bags are made very well but can’t beat the price on the Alma BB canvas.

Alma BB! Croisette is pretty too but you really can’t beat Alma which is a very well made structured bag and good value for its price (I trust that classic bags like Alma that have been made for decades don’t have the possible quality problems of newer bags). Alma BB is also very secure with the zipper closure and I like that it is very compact while still holds everything I need.

I love the Croisette. It looks better crossbody than the Alma BB due to the way the strap attaches to the handles on the Alma. This pulls up the handles and makes them look a little wonky to me. They both look cute handheld though.
Exactly this. I can't stand how the handles look when I use the long strap with the Alma. The handles get crooked.

That Info and the shots where super helpful, I did not realize that the Croisette was not “that structured”..... thanks a million!
