The interior is the same material as the canvas or Vernis pouches. It's very easy to wipe clean so don't worry about that.
As for the Epi exterior, I don't own the canvas or Vernis for comparison but I have used it since I bought it in October and it looks brand new. My concern was the corner wear but they all look great. No color rub at all.

Good luck deciding. I was torn between DE, Vernis and Epi. But I had been wishing for an Epi piece for a while.

Just scored a preloved Epi Dauphine GM cosmetic pouch for USD76 including shipping. Exterior is 10/10 BUT the interior is pretty shot with some black marks (?ink) and some part are rubbing off.
Plan to either replace the lining or if LV doesn't do it, may just send it to leather shop or even to just use it as is after layering the interior with some paper.

My first inclination is to say yes the extra items will fit. If you show what is in the PM, then I can try to match it for you and fit it in my GM. As for keeping it open and just reaching in, yes, I often leave mine like that on the bathroom counter.
If you travel a lot, the toiletry bag 25 can be a good option as well. I have that one also and it is great when you need to pack extra things like skin care etc.... It really isn't for purses though, I use it for travel so I can pack more makeup options and skincare and then transfer what I need for the day into pm/gm. [emoji4]

I keep my brushes and other stuff in my PM. Here are the contents of GM and PM side by side:
I usually bring both of my GM and PM in my purse but for smaller purses I just use the GM and just keep it unzipped so I can put the brushes inside too. I can probably fit more when it's wide open in my purse.

This is soooo helpful. That UD Naked palette is such a standard size it will be easy to imagine my own stuff in the GM. And I love your idea of having a separate PM for the brushes. I have been eyeing an Indian Rose PM pouch.

I love using both the GM and the PM. The naked palette fits right in and both pouches makes my bag organized (but heavy coz I hate forgetting any of my makeup lol). Hope the pics were helpful [emoji173]️
