I caution against a K28 sellier and think you should really try it on in person before deciding...I find it too big for daily use/evening (I am close to 5'5 and the bag still looks big on me especially in photos. If you are decently taller it might work) and the Epsom leather does make open/close a pain (it's very stiff and I don't think I ever owned a bag like that before). The structure of the bag also means that it doesn't hold nearly as much stuff as the retourne with the positive being that it does retain it shape very well over time. I also have an MKII in Epsom which I use way more often and the open/close is much easier for that bag (could be the opening is just a lot smaller vs. K28). JMO.

Hi lovely TPFers!

Just wanted to pop back in and thank everyone for your thoughtful feedback and encouragement. 💛 I truly appreciated hearing all your experiences and perspectives—it made me feel a lot more grounded in my decision-making process!

In a fun twist of fate, while I was still mulling over the Constance and Kelly, I stumbled upon a B25 in Blue Royal with PHW. It felt like such a serendipitous find, especially because it pairs beautifully with the blue dial of my Patek Twenty~4 that I purchased earlier this year. ✨

I’m so happy with my purchase and feeling grateful for how everything aligned. Hopefully, down the line, I’ll be able to add the other pieces I was considering—but for now, I’ll try to restrain myself (before I go sliding even further down the slippery orange slope 😅).

Thank you again to everyone who shared their thoughts—it really meant a lot! 💙

Lovely! This would have been my first choice of the 3 options! Lovely blue in a great size.

Go with the K28. Gold is in now, but may not be in a year or two. I also have concerns of potential corner wear. OT, but all my Chanel metallic bags had corner rubbing issues. I think it's a much safer bet to go with the classic choice.

EDIT: I just noticed that you got the B25 instead. IMO, that's way better than the other two. Congrats on your new purchase and I hope you enjoy it in good health!

Just a note for Dore that it scratches easily, and the scratches can’t be repaired. My Constance Dore was scratched and had color transfer from denim; the only way to repair was to change the entire panel for 3.720 euros at the time, and the color looked slightly different.

Insurance paid me for the panel, but I decided to do the cleaning only (since the wear and tear will continue), it didn’t come out perfect. Actually not sure the spa even did anything, but I paid for cleaning.😅I also have Plume Elan Dore from 2005, and let’s see what they will be able to do about that.

I love Dore and my only missing items are the Jackie pumps and the MK Dore. I have everything else I wanted in Dore (6 pairs of shoes, kelly pocket, Kelly twilly Dore, Constance, Constance slim) and I would still buy it. 😅

Thank you so much for posting this. I have the same bag and have only taken it out once and planned to take it out at my next major function. I will continue to be super careful with it and no demim with it for me.

Also shoes, it is the same. I used the kamilla argente once and it got scratched on the side of the front part. I took to shoe repair (not H) and they can’t fix it without repainting both shoes, so I decided not to do it. I will just use them that way as part of their story. 😅

I had this problem with rose gold metallic Santorini i got in 2022. I wonder if there is a protection you can add to the shoes?

Years ago, I wanted a metallic Lady Dior. A Dior SA had whispered to me that she wouldn’t recommend getting that type of leather. The reason she gave was that in the future, it might not be possible to do a color revision on metallic shades.

Since that day, metallic colors have been off my radar. Maybe the situation is different when it comes to Hermès leathers and dyes — I’m just sharing my experience.

As others have said, the two models are very different in style. If the 28 wouldn’t look too big on you height-wise, I would personally choose the K28.

However, since you're torn between the two, it means neither is your absolute dream bag. If it were me, I’d rather pass than buy something just for the sake of it, and wait for a bag that makes me say, “this is the one.”
