Considering a pavé clou bracelet vs. a Daytona

I may be in the minority m, but I like the idea of a pave JUC. You already have a love pave bracelet and ring, so I think it would lend some interest on your wrist.

While I’m not a Daytona lover, it is entirely different in style from your DJ or BB. But, when I read your posts, it seems like the space in your jewelry wardrobe is a bracelet and not a watch. Have fun deciding

I believe I pulled this pic from someone else on TPF (who pulled it from an on line source), but I don’t recall where or when. I kept it in my jewelry inspiration folder and I think it’s beautiful, though not for my personal taste or style

ETA: I also think the pave in a yellow metal is somehow more discreet than a Daytona these days, but I wear long sleeves over my wrists lol

Hi friends! Thanks for your many helpful thoughts and insights. I believe I have ruled out the Daytona. As much as I enjoy it, it's probably a bit sportier than I am and I tend to gravitate to things that I will use very often. Seeing how little play my second watch gets, I can't justify a third.

I am still considering a second full sized pave Love, likely in rose, although I've also asked the boutique to bring in the white one, and a yellow pave JUC. Hopefully these will be in about a week from now for me to go try.

I am having a bit of a time with this because I realize it will likely be the last acquisition of this caliber for this part of my life. I have been chasing grails since I was 17, which was now a long time ago, and it's time for me to focus on pursuits that feed my soul. Will be interesting to see where we land.

Please feel free to share ideas and photos as I await the arrival of these pieces.

I love how you take the time to enjoy the journey on acquiring your pieces! Yes, Purseforum can be a bit of a dark hole for others with countless pursuits of the next big purchase. Not that I am complaining. I loved seeing what’s new. Seems like you are going to focus on possibly more holiday travels or bio-hacking? It’s not everyday I read this. Either way, I’m happy for you.

The pave JuC is quite beautiful. I have seen the regular RG JUC pave in person, and it is very eye catching - in daytime light and indoors. If you are comfortable with the pave not going all around, and you are willing to take it off during work-outs or making sure the hinge is tight, that may be the better option for you. Perhaps try it in rose gold so it doesn’t look too much like a “nail.” I think I am mistaken - the large or medium JuC doesn’t have pave all around. I’ve seen it in displays but never played around with it.

Have you checked out Van Cleef and Arpel? I see more men wearing VCA - bracelets, necklaces, rings. Usually men wear the VCA perlee clover bangle as an alternative to the love bracelet, but there is also the three row pave bangle. The edges of VCA bangles don’t show wear unlike Love bracelets when they are stacked. Only downside is it is a lot thinner or lighter in weight than the classic love pave. But it is a nice break from two of the same pave classic loves. I see some people that actually put one on each wrist in the long haul because they get tired of the noise they make if they are on the loose fit or that “wonder woman” cuff look.

Just pointing out some alternatives before you sign off from luxury jewelry spending. 🙂

I believe that is sparkledoll. She also has an account in Instagram. Yes, she was pretty active in tpf back in the day.

I’m interested to hear how you like the WG pave love as I think the WG and YG look amazing together. Please post pics!

I love the pavé clou. I think it looks really beautiful with the pavé Love, it's a lot of bling together, but you do like the sparkle 😁
I think since you have a PM YG watch already the Daytona wouldn't be my first choice. I also like the two pavé Loves together they are gorgeous. To my eye RG/YG doesn't work as nicely together. I think the similarity but dis-similarity kind of bothers me if that makes any sense 😚. Out of all 3 options I would choose the JUC.
