Compact wallet dilemma!!

Oh dammit, I was looking at the Zoe thinking "Well, at least it has a gusset...."

I'm definitely going to check out that Gucci. Thanks so much. It's such a shame that LV don't really cater for this scenario as I love the brand.

Have you looked at the twist xs? It looks like the Zoe but the gusset on both sides of the coin compartment looks like it’ll hold more coins than the Zoe. At least from the pics I see online. Haven’t had a chance to see it in person yet. I’m having the same dilemma as you when I bought the Zoe but I’ll be sure to check out the twist xs soon. If u do, lemme know how it goes.

I second that the Victorine will need a coin purse along with it. LV should come out with a style similar to the Gucci Card Case...YSL does, almost exact layout but more expensive than the Gucci one. Gucci has many different print/material/colour with this layout for you to choose, including the Marmont leather.

My favorite smaller wallets are the Zoe and ZCP, but the minute coin compartment and folded cash aspect already eliminate them from your shortlist. What about the men’s smart wallet? I love mine, and have been known really stuff it to the max. The only drawback is if you’re not into darker colors - the wallet only comes in Damier graphite or black epi.

As other members have mentioned, Gucci has a good selection of compact wallets. Good luck!

After a long, long search, I purchased the Capucines Compact Wallet. And I must say that I really love using it. It is pricier esp compared to LV’s more popular wallets but worth adding it to the list to see if it will suit your needs. For me, it ticked all the boxes. It holds plenty of coins, at least 8-10 cards / ids and bills do not need to be folded. It is easy to get in and out of - all while being relatively compact. I like how the credit card slots are oriented. The Capucines leather feels luxurious. I thought the big LV closure might get in the way but it has been a nonissue. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestions! The Capucines actually longer than my current one, which is a shame, as its nice.

I'll look at the others thanks!
(The Gucci price point is a definite plus though, I have to admit, also the branding isn't too flashy)

Apologies, I read over the part you need it to fit into your pocket!

This is not a “high end” suggestion but Oroton, an Australian brand, is great value. They make a neat mini wallet called “Venture Mini Zip Wallet” where one technically can fit small bills without needing to fold them (this is why I passed over the popular ZCP). Dimensions are W:8.5Cm H: 11.5Cm D: 1.5Cm. Holds 8 cards and zipped coin pocket.

I was looking at that one, too! Yes, it is pricier but bigger and fits a lot. But in the end, I got the Victorine wallet. I really like it and it’s big enough, yet small and compact enough. I’m so glad you picked one that you love and is 100% practical

Hi, I've been wracking my brains trying to find the right wallet for me and I'm stuck so I'm just gonna throw it out to the jury, lol.

Basically I want a compact wallet. Because I live in a cold country (Ireland) I'm 100% of the time wearing a warm jacket or coat. So I just stuff my wallet into one pocket, my keys and phone into the other, and run out the door. So it does need to be pocket sized. I have one at the moment that's 5 inches long by 4 inches tall and tbh it's really too bulky for my pockets.

I also tend to accumulate a lot of euro coins, as there are no notes under a fiver here. So I have all these coins rattling around and I do use them, for parking and small purchases.

I don't carry many cards, 4/5. I do however hate folding up bills. You're in a hurry and just scrunch them! It gets bulky so fast. I'd prefer storing bills flat.

Is there anything suitable? Flat bills but decent coin storage? Or should I just give up and look at a different brand?
Elise Trifold maybe? I just got one in Epi Leather Castilian Red today. Roomy coin pouch and room for 6 cards. The wallet does fold, but it folds out so your money will straighten back out when you open it. Fits nicely in the pocket. Hope this was helpful! I’m attaching the photo with my Sarah Long for a size comparison.2E636F4D-3FC9-4B7F-82FD-FDD4BC4F5A64.jpegADE17FB2-BAF3-41C6-ACB7-6FBA42DACEF0.jpeg CB6529CD-4935-47DA-91F8-CC801AFF2491.jpeg 23C902D8-2570-4F15-8A10-2F5117DC915F.jpeg 4349F600-032A-4651-97D3-E2CFC353A33E.jpegF60B149B-34A0-483C-8E6C-243913A47497.jpeg

I would maybe go for the victorine. I don’t like my Rosalie or my Zoe with a lot of cash in them

Just a quick question about the Gucci ones - how do they store bills? It's unclear from the photos I can find. TIA!
I know this is an old post, but I was researching the gucci card case wallet. There is a slot at the top for bills. They can be stored without folding. But it is very tight- the compartment is just barely longer than the bills (US bills) so I am trying to decide whether to keep it.

I have the Zoe and it actually packs a lot for a small wallet. Bills fit without folding, you can fit 3or 4 metal cards or maybe 5 plastic ones and with all that, I've been able to fit about $5 worth of quarters in the coin compartment. It was very stiff when I first bought it but it's softened up and I find it easier to slide the cards in and out. I may not look like it, but it's a good wallet.

this is a great thread, found it by accident but been having a similar dilemma.

I think it's worth knowing that different countries' notes are different dimensions, some are way broader so can stick out of a bill compartment or need more creative folding
