There is such a variation in colors in pictures. Take a look at argile in the postings of MrsRance & Thimp. I have no clue what argile really looks like after looking at these pictures. Lighting makes such a difference. And then there is the variations in how color shows in different leathers.

But as far as I am concerned, Hermes is all about the colors and it is really hard to get a handle on the various colors.

Though many colours may not be accurate it is a great reference if someone is looking for example a darker vs lighter colour. I live far away from a store, the chances of me seeing these colours IRL are very rare. Thank you for sharing IWSB!!:flowers:

Hey Julide--As a fellow gray lover, did you zero in on grioret? I have never even heard of it before. What a great gray! Is it something that was briefly offered on some limited item?

Hi IWSB!:flowers:Griolet was from 2008/2009 I think, it has an undertone...I think purple...a pretty colour but for me in a bag, I was on the fence. I should have gotten a clutch in it...still kicking myself.:lecture:

Also, the same color will look different depending on which leather type is used to make the item. While this is a handy starting point, not all leather variations offered are included here. It's always best to review leather swatches at the Hermes boutique. ;)
