Coco handle or Chanel 19 for first bag?

I prefer coco handle as it's closer to the classic styles that I adore Chanel for. Chanel 19 has always looked like knockoffs to me...before Chanel making those they were all over Canal St and the street vendors in Asia.

I got the 19 before the CCH, but these are the two only Chanels I would want (not into CF at all). But just got the CCH a year after. So in my opinion, you should eventually get both, but get the 19 first, it's so easy to use.

I totally agree! I carry my 19s 95% of the time since purchasing.

I have seen the latest grey chanel 19s. The current lambskin in those two I saw seems worse in quality than my old lambskin flap bag. Both NEW bags presented to me had scuff marks and when the SA was challenged to prove that it can be rubbed off by her claim, she couldn’t even get the scuff marks off. Yup, not even resale market but the boutique itself.

She tried to sell me on ‘bag personality aka character’ and I said no thanks.

Love my Coco Handle---it's elegant and timeless. It's more formal..but can also be casual..depending on how you style/accesorize it.

So the CCH was my dream Chanel bag at one point. I purchased 2 (old small and medium size), had sagging issues on my medium size and sold it. I purchased the Chanel 19 earlier this year and I LOVE this bag. It’s casual luxe and much more practical than the CCH. I think cch is good in small and mini size for evening, but Chanel 19 is hands down the best everyday bag.
