I'm pretty sure that Tiffany's would be fantastic! When it comes to colored stones, it is all about the color and Tiffany's would definite have top notch color!

i'll be the lone voice of dissent. i'd rather spend 1190 for a gold ring like the jane taylor ones (great sale price!) than 3 hundred dollars less for a sterling silver ring from tiffany. i think in terms of cash, the jane taylor is the smarter purchase. 800 dollars for a sterling silver and amethyst ring is just ridiculous, even if i can afford it i'd feel foolish paying so much.

If you're not worried about the designer aspect, GM Pollack are having a fabulous sale right now (up to 70% off some things), which included some very vibrant but highly inexpensive (comparatively!) rings similar to the Tiffany posted originally.

I made it to the mall today and got to see all three rings again.
The Jane Taylor and the Tiffany both have thin bands. I kind of agree with Sputnik that the price seems high for silver and amethyst. Cost is kind of why I am not in to David Yurman anymore.

The Jane Taylor is very nice, but the band is thin. I probably prefer it to the Tiffany but for the price $1200 vs. $800, I will probaly go with Tiffany. And definetly amethyst. I originally wanted the green put the purple is just awesome
