Coach x Pac-Man to outlets this fall; Felix The Cat to FP in 2017

Snoopy, Mickey, and now Felix. Yikes! What's next? Hello Kitty?! Coach needs to lay low on these character themed collections. It's overkill and may erode the brand.

Hello Kitty would grab a lot of buyers, actually. As for eroding the brand, Anya Hindmarch is another higher-end name that constantly does quirky themes-they seem to be doing alright for that. Not all releases have to be so serious!

I agree. Even high end designers do weird things, like Chanel's milk carton bag. It doesn't mean their entire product selection will have cartoon characters on them. Hello Kitty would get lots of customers into the store.

It could also do the reverse and help the brand by attracting consumers who don't usually buy Coach. That was the case with me and the Disney (Mickey) x Coach collaboration, I was definitely intrigued and at one point close to purchasing a wallet and hangtags. Other brands who offer similar collaborations include Kate Spade, who recently had the Minnie Mouse collection which peaked the interest of many people who don't normally shop KS.

Yes, I don't normally buy Kate Spade except for the novelty items. I continue to look at KS often just to see what else they will make.
Plus the hangtags are fairly cheaply priced, so for people who don't want to spend a lot, it gives them a reason to look at Coach.

The novelty pieces by Kate Spade are really cute and different from what most brands put out. I usually purchase the coin purses and use them in my bags which are all neutral shades.

I am with you all on Hello Kitty, I would buy that

Rebecca Minkoff did a line years ago with Hello Kitty, it had a really cute HK lining and the hardware had HK on them

These are nice, very subtle. I think even people who aren't fans of Hello Kitty would like them. I don't find my Snoopy duffle (2nd gen) to be cutesy, juvenile or kitschy, because the Snoopy is just a silhouette and fairly small. Even without the Snoopy, it would be a nice blue duffle.

I saw pictures of the new Coach Pac Man collection for the outlet. I love all the SLGs and the backpack because it has a silhouette of the Ghost.
I think it is going to be a fun collection and the pieces looked well made.

OMG it sounds like my wallet is in trouble already haha; would love to hear any more inside info or see some pics!

What's the product selection like? Men and women's items?

How big are the ghosts/Pac Man? Do you know when this launches?
